Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (LKS) trademarks and copyright practice head Dr Sheetal Vohra has started up Delhi-based IPR firm Vohra & Kumar with LKS associate Nupur Kumar who was part of her practice at the firm.
In addition to co-founding partners Vohra and Kumar the firm, which was launched on 12 May, has five other lawyers and three paralegals, and operates from Delhi’s Green Park.
Vohra is a Campus Law Centre Delhi 2000 alumnus who had stints with advocate Sudhir Luthra, Lal, Lahiri & Salhotra and DePenning & DePenning before joining LKS in September 2014.
Kumar is an Army Institute of Law Mohali 2012 alumnus who worked at Zeuslp Advocates and Anand & Anand before joining LKS in February 2015.
Vohra said she was optimistic about the firm’s growth with the government having put in place the new draft IPR policy and having come up with commercial courts. She said that clients of the start-up currently were from the FMCG, pharmaceutical, educational, fashion and automobile sectors.
