Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan added a third office in the Delhi region, opening up in Gurgaon, as first reported by Bar & Bench.

LKS senior partners Seetharaman S, Vijaya Sampath and Mathivanan N will be heading the Gurgaon office with a team of 35 LKS Delhi lawyers including executive partner Sudesh Sharma. The Gurgaon office is the firm’s 11th national office.

Seetharaman told Legally India today that the firm conceptualised the Gurgaon office in November to reduce travelling time for clients based in Gurgaon and for Delhi office lawyers who travel to client offices in Gurgaon.

He said that the office, which is located in the Corporate Towers in Ambience Island, will handle all of the firm’s current practice areas except intellectual property law.

The firm had opened its last new office in the Delhi region in 2012.
