KPMG friend Advaita poaches ex-LKS Madhav Rao from consultant best-friend BMR Legal

BMR Legal indirect tax partner Madhav Rao, who had joined the sister law firm of consultancy BMR Advisors one year ago from Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan, has left BMR to join Advaita Legal as a senior attorney, reported Bar & Bench.

Advaita was set up in December 2013 by BMR co-founding partner Sujit Ghosh with a former KPMG partner. The firm is believed to be a best friend law firm to KPMG

Whether this Advaita Legal and Advaya Legal are one and the same firms?? Anyone conversant with the issue can enlighten!

No, Advaya Legal is a different law firm and was set up by Ramesh Vaidyanathan, the former general counsel of MIAL, a GVK group entity. Also, Kian - please also highlight Advaita Legal has hired Satyajit Gupta, a senior lawyer to build a corporate/ M&A practice!
