“I’m grateful for the opportunity at KSP and joining Rajani is a natural progression of my career,” commented Balwani.
Balwani will be joining the corporate and private equity team of around five lawyers and three partners.
Balwani had joined KSP a year ago from ALMT Legal, where she was a senior associate.
Erstwhile Mumbai firm Rajani & Partners, which merged with Singhania & Partners last year, has just under 40 fee-earners in Mumbai in addition to 11 partners with Balwani.
Nationally, with offices in Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad, the headcount is around 100 lawyers.
A Rajani partner declined to comment.
Khaitan Sud managing partner Umesh Khaitan commented: “Preeti is joining Rajani with all my best wishes.”
KSP recently dissolved its insurance litigation vertical, Legally India had reported in February.
