Detty Davis, one of longest-serving JurisCorp partners, to go in-house
Juris Corp disputes partner Detty Davis has left the firm to go in house.

Davis confirmed the news and said she is currently serving her notice period at Juris, but did not comment on where she would be joining in house. She said she will join by the end of this month or early next month.

She joined the firm in 2007 after stints at Ramesh Makhija & Co and LawQuest. She did her LLB in 2001 from GLC Mumbai and LLM from the University of Mumbai in 2003.

At Juris she was promoted to partner in 2011.

In a press release she commented: “It has been a wonderful experience being associated with JC. I must admit it has been a journey packed with a burst of learnings and insights into multiple facets of professional and personal issues-all positive and enriching. I have accomplished a vision with all the zeal, enthusiasm, trust and camaraderie I could potentially garner. I am stepping down from my position as Partner to take on a different set of challenges and begin a new journey.”

Juris senior partner H Jayesh commented in the release: “Detty has played a significant role in driving the Dispute Resolution practice and has seen the success of critical mandates. Her expertise and knowledge would surely be missed at Juris Corp. We wish her well and hope that she achieves greater summits of success.”

The firm did not respond to a further request for comment.
