Dua Associates has promoted three to equity partner and one to non-equity partner, reported Bar & Bench citing "reliable sources".
Dinesh Mathur and Vikram Dholakia were promoted in the litigation practice in Delhi, while Srinivas BR got the nod in Bangalore's corporate practice. Senior associate Jay Badola was lifted into non-equity partnership, according to the website. [Bar & Bench]
Legally India had reported that Mathur was hired as an equity partner by Dua in 2010, citing managing partner Ranji Dua, in the aftermath of a the massive Tatva Legal breakaway from the firm.

Does anyone know?
oh wait you already did.
We just flashed a headline, linking to what someone else published, and were transparent that it conflicted with the information from a previous report on Legally India. It's obvious that we didn't do any additional reporting on this, and I don't think the story is so important that it really needs to be followed up if the information is accurate, as it appears to be.
If our 2010 report was wrong, as the comment below suggests, I guess they gave us wrong information about Dinesh Mathur's equity status back then and didn't let us know our report was wrong after we had sent them the published copy. To be fair, it was a traumatic time for the firm back then so maybe they forgot.
So it goes...
Do you know about Munish Sharma too? We had reported in 2010 that he joined as equity also, based on information from the firm. I guess it's likely that's non-equity though...
