After graduating from NLSIU Bangalore in 1998, she started her career at ICICI and joined AZB in 2001.
She has worked in corporate, private equity, banking and project finance, as well as corporate governance law.
It is understood that she has not yet made a decision on what course to pursue professionally following her resignation.

You mean like Poker!!!!
Well said. I am surprised there's no news out of AZB. Vineetha is a good person though I have never interacted with her professionally. Very down to earth and no airs. Certainly a loss to AZB though as someone below said, there's really nothing you can do to prevent such departures. She's spent ages at AZB so it will be interesting to see how she manages elsewhere.
The damage is done to AZB. AZB is now going the trilegal way...down !!
P.S- I am dyslexic.
Don't forget Vaishali Sharma...that makes 4 partner departures in about 1 - 1.5 years...
Dont forget Prabjot and Probal. That makes it 6 in last 4.5 years!!! Big blow to AZB..
I think you need to put in place a policy for reporting responsibly, hopefully that will stop a repeat of barandbenchgate and tabloid-like gossip.
Until you do that LI will remain primarily a gossip corner for college kids, not a credible source of news.
[...] consider career options," confirmed several authoritative sources with knowledge of the matter, who all declined to comment. An AZB partner confirmed her departure but declined to comment further.
Happy, trololol, etc?
Please offer Kishen an editorial role in LI.
Kishen, please refuse it, since you are a managing partner/senior advocate, and such a role would not be befitting your stature. but then, you have all the time to comment on this site.
Just curious, kishen, if you hate this LI website so much and have a problem with their articles, why do you spend so much time to read them and also post comments here. Tu to bada troll hain.
wIth my undying love,
Kishen fan
someone known (who people like me don't know)
Or a pseudonym for a senior lawyer trolling on LI ?
just curious.
Quoting I am a Kishen fan:
First off, it's fairly safe to assume that only a male will use a name like "Kishen."
Next, the name that a person chooses is, consciously or sub-consciously, an extension of the person's identity. "Kishen" is not a creative name like many others on this site, for example "Associate," "Rambo," "Bangalore Lawyer" and the like. Rather, "Kishen" is a straight forward, simple Indian name. Deduction number 2 - Kishen is, quite certainly, an Indian male.
So - why would an Indian male identify with a name like "Kishen"? The most obvious reason is because that's indeed his real name. We all identify with our names, don't we? However, given the vitriolic nature of most of his posts, I doubt a person will use his real name to brazenly criticize others on a public platform. Hence, it’s safe to assume that Kishen is not his real name. It is a pseudonym.
If "Kishen," is a pseudonym, why would a person identify with it? Obviously because the name "Kishen" has some connection with his life. Kishen could be the name of a family member, or a friend. However, given the extremely egotistical nature of most of his comments, I would discount the theory that Kishen is using a family member's name here. It's more likely that the name "Kishen" has something to do with the person himself.
Now, those who have an elementary knowledge of Indian mythology know that Kishen is another name for Krishna, one of the most prominent Indian Gods. Lord Krishna is know by several other names as well. Among the most common are Gopal, Hari, Kishore, Govind, Narayan, Balgopal, Nandan, Mohan, Murali, Jagdish, Madhav, Keshav . . . . (the list can go on).
In all probability, Kishen's real name is a variant of Kishen's alternate names.
Now - just go through his posts. He seems to exhibit a fair degree of knowledge on a wide range of topics. He should rank among the more senior members of the profession. Also, in one of his posts, he recounts his days at law school. Obviously, he is from one of the earlier law schools - NLS, NALSAR, or NUJS. I would rule out NALSAR or NUJS because he often refers to NLS, and to places in Karnataka like Utkal, Mysore and Belgaum. He also refers to L Vishwanathan, Santosh Jankiram, Umakant, and Pramod in his posts. All are from NLS. Vishwanathan, Umakant and Pramod are from the first 3 or 4 batches of NLS. He also talks with disdain about the founders of Trilegal. It’s a fact that most of the founders of Trilegal are from the senior batches of NLS. In all probability, Kishen studied with them.
So, Kishen is someone from the first few batches of NLS, who in all probability goes by the name Krishna or a variant of Krishna. There are quite a few from the first few batches who would fit this description. However, not all had were they types who had a condescending attitude, and overinflated ego, and who loved to prove others wrong. That narrows down the list quite a bit. However, Kishen’s grand claim in one of his posts that Khaitan is a "true Tier 1 firm" is a dead giveaway of his identity.
Guesses anyone?? You don't need an IP address now, do you?
And I hope my partner is not reading these posts. Anyways, scooter is harder to deduce.
I was appreciative of your efforts and not condescending at the least.
A little jest in good faith never killed anyone.
"Wake Up" was only angry at people making baseless comments of sweeping nature about the profession. She/he never displayed any condescending attitude or ego. The idea was to thrash people who make crappy comments without data to back it up.
Unless they are using TOR
But I don't know if kian & team know this. technical stuff this.

I'm neither happy nor unhappy. Just curious why you didn't put this into the main article at the time of publication itself. See what a difference it makes?
YOU MADE A FOOL OF YOURSELF. AGAIN ....
Actually, interesting point. Why AZB could not even say, in the least, "wish her all the best for future"?
Particularly after someone has worked there for over a decade and helped the firm grow from 2001 to 2012?
Btw Ashwin Ramanathan is a much better finance partner than Vineetha.
kya aap baadh mein doob gaye hai? kya aaple kapde geele hai? kya aap doobne wale hai? kya aapko khana chahiye? aapko kaisa mehsoos ho raha hai?
chill kian, also... is an a$$
