Former Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi Associate and NLSIU Bangalore 2001 graduate Pranav Sharma will return to head the Delhi finance and insolvency practice of the firm this August, after six years at Linklaters London.
Amarchand said in a statement: “with its firm resolve to achieve the key objective of becoming a 1000 lawyer and 100 partner firm by its 100th anniversary in 2017, [Amarchand] has appointed Mr Pranav Sharma as a lateral partner in their Banking & Finance and Insolvency Practice at the Delhi office.”
Sharma who began his career as an associate in the banking and finance practice of Dua Associates in 2001, and joined Amarchand Delhi in 2002 as an associate with the banking and finance team and the mergers and acquisitions team left the firm in 2006.
He went on to qualify as solicitor in England and Wales, and joined Linklaters as an associate in the London banking group in 2006. Linklaters seconded him to the EMEA loans origination team at Citi corporate and investment bank London in 2008, since which time he was a managing associate at the firm until this year.
Sharma comes with 11 years of experience in banking and finance, project finance, debt capital markets, corporate and debt restructuring, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, policy and legislation and regulatory practices, according to a statement from the firm.
