J Sagar Associates (JSA) has promoted 15 to salaried partner level, as first reported Bar & Bench, with two – Lalit Kumar and Pallavi Bedi – elevated to equity partner from their current ‘equity partner elect’ status.
The elevations of Kumar and Bedi were automatic after having been decided last year.
Mumbai saw eight promotions, followed by the Delhi region with six, and Bangalore with one.
Co-managing partner Dina Wadia confirmed the promotions when contacted.
JSA also promoted 16 into the new principal associate designation today.

be that as it may, while the general norm of promotion for most is based “not-on-merit” continues to live, the only saving grace is to see a couple of deserving names to make it to the list!
