Power company CLP India promoted deputy general counsel Sudipta Ghosh to succeed its former general counsel (GC) Nabeel Saleem as GC.

"[As legal counsel] she was responsible for advising, drafting and negotiating project documents, offtake agreements and execution of both conventional and non-conventional power projects in India. As CLP India’s General Counsel, Sudipta will advise the Company on various legal aspects of the business like litigation, project financing, new project development just to name a few," according to CLP's press release.

She is also a solicitor in England and Wales.

Saleem had joined seeds and agrochemical major Monsanto India as its legal head earlier this year, as reported by VCCircle.
