I AM QUITE SURPRISED, you are mentioning the name of the partner in kochhar & Co (Mohammed Shadaan Saipillai) who has already left for Phoenix Legal, Chennai. Its strange how firms want to get publicity on the behest of their departing partners.

Kian atleast you should get your facts right before publishing, come on you are a reporter. .......

Thanks we'd missed that. It was actually a Sahai & Co press release, not a Kochhar one.

Have now corrected.

As the editor is it not your reaponsibility to ensure the correctness of what you publish instead of putting the blame on a press release?

We didn't blame the release actually - like I said, we missed that (i.e., we should have caught it).

I mentioned it was a Sahai & Co press release in response to the part of the comment about "strange how firms want to get publicity on the behest of their departing partners", which obviously didn't apply in this case since it was not a Kochhar release.

yeah i can see that. KIAN have you been noticing whats happening in the consultants and recruitments space? these consultants have just ruined the market. i often have these young Associates write into me personally trying to look for jobs and i feel so helpless.
you should do a bolstering release on the recruitment business and how firms and candidates should be aware.

Hmm, not really - what do you mean by ruined? That candidates unsuitable get placed with firms based on lofty promises and deception?

sahaico is a shop run by ex amarchand lawyer Savyasachi who decided to run an independent firm quite early on in life. Quite commendable that he sits opposite named firms on a regular basis quite regularly.

You I'm sure would only get what your SA/PA throws at you desk to take first crack at.
