BCI pushes new potential All India Bar Exam date to 8 November 2020

BCI notifies 8 November AIBE date
BCI notifies 8 November AIBE date

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced a new date for the postponed All India Bar Exam (AIBE), setting it a conservative date for the exam to be physically held in exam centres, on 8 November 2020, more than two months away.

The AIBE had originally been scheduled for 16 August but in late July was postponed indefinitely.

The new bar exam schedule announced on the website today, as usual reserves the BCI’s historically oft-invoked “right to extend the said examination date in case of unavoidable circumstances”.

Online registrations are set to close on 17 October 2020, according to the online schedule (see below, or link to PDF here).

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) continues to be scheduled for 7 September 2020, despite some practical joker's recent attempt to announce an extension.
