BCI opens All India Bar Exam XIV registrations for 25 August (subject to change at unfettered discretion, no refunds, natch)

Yay: New AIBE is here
Yay: New AIBE is here

For all budding lawyers who can’t wait to be real lawyers, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has opened online registrations for the next All India Bar Exam (AIBE), which will probably be held on 25 August 2019.

Online registrations close on 12 August 2019, and can be completed on the official website.

As always, it may be prudent not to finalise any holiday plans around that time: an asterisk next to all dates indicates that “Council reserves the right to extend the said examination date in case of unavoidable circumstances. In that case, any request for refund/adjustment of fees shall not be entertained”.

The previous bar exam was held on time on 23 December 2018, with results published on 15 March 2019.

Update: The exam has been postponed to 15 September: “With reference to letter date 23rd July, 2019 ref. no. BCI:D:303/2019 (Mtg.18.07.2019) received from BCI the date of examination for AIBE-XIV is being extended to 15th September, 2019. The last date of payment and release of admit card is also extended herewith. Kindly Click here for new schedule”
