The website has clearly been compromised. We do hope the BCI is aware of the same. Otherwise, mayhem will ensue.

And LI, please check your links before posting.

Thanks.

I don't think it's been compromised - it's working for us.

Some people though have been getting a landing page with lots of ads - this looks like it could be a DNS (domain name server) error, which is usually caused by the web admins messing around something to do with the domain name.

You could try another internet connection or wait and these things are usually resolved within 12 hours.

Do keep us posted on your progress.

Best wishes,
Kian

12 hours??!!! Are you kdding me dude??! The exam is days away. We have been given 9 days "to prepare our own study material" just because some people were selling copies of the previous study material!!! OMG Imagine the horror!! I bought a Rs.100 stamp paper yest for Rs.150 and BCI chairman's logic of not releasing the prep material is because some people were selling it!!!
Did paper and printer ink suddenly become FREE in India that he was so appalled by people selling the question paper that he decided that the students giving the MOST IMPORTANT EXAM OF THEIR CAREER were better off without it!!!

Also your callous response to the above comment is very off-putting

Apologies, I didn't mean for my response to be callous, but I was offering a technical explanation why ads or the appearance of a 'compromised page' on the AIBE site were appearing for some. DNS would be the only answer to that I could guess at, but maybe someone has other ideas.

I am not defending or justifying this, just offering an explanation apart from that the site has been 'compromised'.

I should also add at this point, since there appears to be some confusion, that if the BCI chairman was referring to BarHacker in his claim that someone was selling the original preparatory materials, he is mistaken.

BarHacker only ever sold separate indexes to the original materials (plus mock exams and other tips and tools). The original materials were meant to be provided to applicants free of charge by the BCI (until the announcement last week). The materials are also copyrighted, so BarHacker could not legally (and did not) provide any of those materials.

Moreover, they remained available for download on the BCI website for free - surely it would have been up to examinees if they wished to download them and print them out (and anyone charging for something that is available for free, makes not much sense at all).

Full disclosure: Legally India co-owns BarHacker.

Someone just sent this by email, thought would include here:
Admit Cards are also available on the Centers of examinations. Just the candidate has to take the Application print out with containing the Application number with himself to the centre.
The first time I tried to download the card it displayed a completely different person's photo - someone of the opposite sex!

I closed the window, walked away from the comp for a minute, then restarted the process - and got the right admit card.

I will complain loudly about shortcomings of the BCI and ITES, so let me acknowledge this time that the admit card download service performed as promised.

Entering the enrolment number and not the application number helps.

A few of my friends got it after trying repeatedly for 4-5 times. Also, i dont think you can access the allindiabarexamination.com directly sometimes. So you can use the legally india link to download the admit cards.

It says that the "This enrollment number does not exist in our database". A comedy of errors, may we suggest!

By the way, according to various reports on Facebook and Twitter, it appears that admit cards are being uploaded state-by-state. So some states or regions may be able to access them tonight, others may only be able to get them by tomorrow (according to some who've managed to speak to the BCI helpline).

Do keep us posted on progress and if things have not improved by tomorrow.

The server is offline for us too now.

I assume the AIBE webserver is buckling under the pressure of too much traffic, as most of 30,000 are finding out and trying to download hall passes.

Why is a password required to view the preparatory material? Where do we get password from?
