Looks like Khaitan has better ties with Mori Hamada than Trilegal (read Charandeep & Akshay)

Why blame Akshay!! He relied on Charandeep to nurture his Japanese connections while he spends time to build Infratsructure & Energy practice. Time for Akshay to re-build Japanese practice along with Infra!

Assuming that Mori and Trilegal are close, relationship wise, I'd be very surprised if Mori didn't also work with other law firms and in certain cases one side or other of a transaction might have a pre-existing relationship with an Indian firm too.

And all of the big firms have been nurturing Japan connections. Khaitan, for instance, had a Japanese-qualified lawyer for a while, and many others too have a proper Japan group.

Just sayin'....

Exactly the point. While other firms are making greater efforts to tap Japan..it seems Trilegal is losing control over its already existing relationships
