Khaitan, Phoenix advise on Asianol 45% stake sale in Indian JV with Quaker Chem US [UPDATE-1]

Kolkata-based lubricants company Asianol Lubricants recently announced that it has exited from its joint-venture with US-based Quaker Chemical Corporation by selling the remaining 45% stake in its Indian joint venture, Quaker Chemical India (QCIL), as per a report by Reuters.

Khaitan & Co acted as the Indian legal advisors for Asianol Lubricants and was represented by partner Haigreve Khaitan, associate partner Sameer Sah and associate Bidya Mohanty.

Update 19 January 2018: Phoenix Legal advised Quaker Chemical Corporation, led by partners Abhishek Saxena and Pranav Srivastava, and associate Aniket Singhania.

QCIL sells products to the steel and metalworking industries in India and has associates based in various locations around India. Quaker had been a joint venture partner in QCIL for 20 years.
