The RP – Sanjiv Goenka Group acquired the license to print and publish the Fortune India magazine through the acquisition of 100% shares of Business Media Private Limited (erstwhile holder of the license granted by Fortune Media IP Limited (an assignee of Time Inc)), according to reports.
Khaitan & Co advised RP - Sanjiv Goenka Group led by a team of partner Anuj Shah partner Supratim Chakraborty, senior associate Sumantra Bose and associate Riya Dutta. Due diligence assistance was provided by associate Pratik Jain and associate Anwesha Sinha, intellectual property related assistance was provided by senior associate Sourav Dan, and execution and closing related assistance was provided by associate Vivekanand Bharadwaj.
