Khaitan, Platinum act in Advent $326.2m buy of India’s largest PET plastics maker Manjushree Technopack

International private equity firm Advent International bought a controlling stake in Manjushree Technopack, India’s largest PET manufacturer, from its existing shareholders including Kedaara Capital and promoters for around Rs 2,400 crores, according to reports.

Khaitan & Co advised Advent International led by partner Haigreve Khaitan, partner Aakash Choubey and associate partner Monika Srivastava, with transaction team comprising of senior associate Aishwarya Nagpal, senior associate Shreya Dua, associate Shailesh Singh, associate Pallavi Panigrahi and associate Angeline Benny. Several other practices supported the transaction team, including associate partner Indruj Rai and principal associate Shabnam Sheikh on tax aspects.

Update 18:03: Platinum Partners acted for the sellers Kedaara Capital and the promoters of Manjushree Technopack, led by partners Ankit Majmudar and Sunandan Majumdar.
