JSA acts for Enel on Mumbai-Italy e-mobility JV

Mumbai-based EPC solutions provider Sterling and Wilson has entered into a 50:50 Joint Venture with Enel X, a subsidiary of the Italian based energy giant Enel Group, to enter into the electric mobility ecosystem in India by offering high tech platforms to support the electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country, as per the reports by The Hindu Business Line.

J Sagar Associates advised Enel X Srl led by a team of partner Sidharrth Shankar, partner Prakriti Jaiswal and senior associate Hema Priyadarshini Patnaik.

Enel is engaged in the business of developing, promoting and selling innovative products and services including electric mobility charging infrastructure, network management applications, energy services through electric vehicles and commercial charging services in the e-mobility sector. The JV, incorporated on April 1, 2021 is set to start operating from the second quarter of year and aims to promote the adoption of EVs by providing quick electric chargers to combat fossil fuel pollution and associated climate change. It is also focused to create direct and indirect employment through local manufacturing and operations & maintenance services.
