Indus, TSMP, Collyer act on Hyundai-Juniten JV to manufacture Li-ion batteries in India, Korea, Oman

Juniten Pte Ltd entered into a joint venture with Hyundai for manufacturing lithium-ion batteries; electric vehicles; and energy storage systems. The deal involved setting up and capitalisation of the joint venture entities in India, Republic of Korea, and Oman.

INDUSLAW advised Juniten Pte Ltd led by a team of partner Saurav Kumar, partner Harman Walia, principal associate Sourav Nath and senior associate Swathi Sreenath advised on the transaction including structuring and corporate matters, with partner Aditi Verma Thakur advising on intellectual property aspects of the transaction.

Singapore law firm TSMP Law Corporation also advised Juniten Pte Ltd on Singapore law aspects certain aspects of Singapore law in relation to SBGH’s investment.

Singapore law firm Collyer Law LLC advised SBGH with respect to its investment.
