Debevoise, AZB, Aarna Law, CAM on Aliaxis buy in Ashirvad Pipes

“Belgium-based Aliaxis SA has agreed to acquire the 40% stake it doesn’t already own in joint venture Ashirvad Pipes Pvt. Ltd from the partner Poddar family,” reported VCCircle.

Debevoise & Plimpton partners Geoffrey P Burgess, Lord Goldsmith QC and Samantha J Rowe with associates Shashwat Patel, Todd Morrissey and David M Becker acted for the Poddar family.

AZB & Partners partner partner Vaidhyanadhan Iyer, partner Rajendra Barot, senior associates Bhavya Mohan and Anshika Misra, and associate Shivani Mittal, acted for the Poddar family.

Aarna Law partner Shreyas Jayasimha, consultant Mysore Prasanna and junior counsel Rohan Tigadi also acted for the client::Poddar family;.

Indian counsel to the Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted for Aliaxis.

Yes, and? Given this was an existing JV, may have been a settlement or resolution of covenant breaches, resolution of a deadlock or other such contentious issue/ "dispute" by way of the buy-out no, kid?

It’s not uncommon to have other law firms involved to provide specific inputs ... and as far as the credit goes, does the reader know which firm worked the most?

Bangalore legal market is so hierarchical with select legal families running the show even if they do not have an iota of legal acumen.No wonder, Mumbai lawyers were running the show.
