AZB acts for HDFC on $196m HDFC buy of Apollo Munich insurance

Mortgage lender HDFC on Thursday said it has completed the acquisition of majority stake in Apollo Munich Health Insurance for ₹1,495.81 crore.

AZB & Partners advised HDFC Limited led by a team of partners Ashwath Rau, Rajendra Barot, Kashish Bhatia and Arvind Ramesh, senior associates John Adwet Raghav and Rishikesh Desai.

The deal completed in January 2020 and had been announced on the BSE in June 2019.
