“Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) on Wednesday announced the sale of its sports network TEN Sports to Sony Pictures Network (SPN) in an all cash deal for $385 million,” reported Mint.
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Mumbai corporate partner Jaya Singhania acted for Sony, with competition partner Bharat Budholia.
It is understood Zee was represented by Luthra & Luthra, with partners Deepak THM and Vivek Pareek.

You are totally biased.
Nearly every newspaper and website report is based on unnamed BCI sources and they are often contradictory of each other (compare early HT and TOI reports from earlier this month, which never even mentioned GLC). I've also spoken to some people close to this, but even from them I've been getting conflicting information.
As to whether the derecognition is a good thing, I'm not sure it's as black and white as that.
Yes, it's great that the BCI seems to be taking regulation of law colleges more seriously and the LEC deserves some credit for taking that bull by its horns.
But what's not so good is:
1. The lack of transparency in this process - why don't they publish their decisions and a full list of re de-recognition and notices on their website, rather than leaving it up to thinly sourced reports? It creates a lot of confusion for students. And why does no one at the BCI go on the record to explain why they have made these decisions?
2. There is also the potential question of too little too late, and whether this derecognition is being applied fairly across the board.
Anyway, I'm more than prepared to give the BCI credit, but from what I see right now, in all honesty, they've created more of a mess that's creating a panic amongst young kids.
If anyone has any more credible information on what's actually going on, would be much appreciated.
