Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) and Dr Behrooz Akhlaghi & Associates advised India Ports Global and India’s shipping ministry on setting up a company in Iran to run the Chabahar port.
CAM Mumbai partner Amey Pathak acted for India Ports Global and the ministry.
“The project is considered to be of great strategic significance for India as it could offer sea-land access route to Afghanistan bypassing Pakistan. Further, this deal is of historic significance as being one of the first important deals between India and Iran post lifting of sanctions,” CAM commented in a press release.
“The contract for the port project is expected to be signed by the two countries during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Iran this month,” reported Mint.
Correction: An older version of this report did not mention that Iranian firm Dr Behrooz Akhlaghi & Associates had also acted for India Ports Global alongside CAM. This has now been corrected.

It's making a mountain out of a molehill to suggest that CAM "acts" on the deal. He's been asked to comment on the implications of 3-4 provisions and whether they can be interpreted in a bad manner.
Why just CAM, nearly 9-10 of the top senior counsel and at least 2 other managing partners of firms have been asked to give comments. It's a bit cheap to quote such a role in this light.
Clearly CAM is missing the publicity of the good ol days.
I wont fly down a 2 member team thrice for their comments on interpretation of 3-4 provisions.

Or, Kian would have published the title from the notice that CAM would have sent to all publications--without verifying the role CAM is playing.
Kian, your comments please?
