NUJS is like the lab that perfected what Partha & Co rolled out state-wide. And now NUJS also has Manish and kid.

Chose not to mention NUJS and post-termination he was gainfully employed with a ▮▮▮ private university in WB called https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seacom_Skills_University
And as everyone now knows Uncle Rob and Prof Sen aren't the only illustrious sons of Bolpur. And during "those" days a certain Bagh was very much prowling and minting.
This creative ▮▮▮ later ▮▮▮ ▮▮▮ ▮▮▮ and ▮▮▮-▮▮▮. All hushed up because it was always about "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas" I am serious this happened way before the slogan got coined and not trolling BJP etc. Because ▮▮▮ higher ups and peers were involved, in those places as well, all that could be done was to make ▮▮▮ "clean up" and then resign.
The next ▮▮▮ was a retired ▮▮▮ fellow. And yet ▮▮▮ & Co and ▮▮▮ & Co (at times there were overlaps) continued to ▮▮▮, including crores from UGC. Just like GoWB, which for over a decade hasn't provided any utilization certificates to the Govt of India (and equally miraculously kept getting money) and could care a damn about CAG, here too NUJS did the same with GoWB (who also didn't care) and with UGC as well (till a point). While the SCM fiasco led to the HC-ordered Justice PN Sinha Inquiry, that report was quietly buried once SCM dismissal was confirmed.
Wouldn't know if IIM folks are inherently incorruptible. I think a Google search would show that many in the faculty famously protested (in the recent past) against admin high-handedness and financial discrepancies. And then the imported Director scooted.
As always, the Head at best changes but the rotten system continues. Just a change of guard. Chowkidar.
NKC's advisors in the univ remember too well how things snowballed after this:
https://www.legallyindia.com/lawschools/nujs-students-file-rtis-to-catch-admin-s-burial-of-university-review-report-00011130-9100
How far has the new IO genuinely complied with the mandate of pro-active disclosures under RTI Act, 2005? We no longer have the SJA of those years who with their limited student powers, idealism and tenacity were able to bring down well-entrenched and networked Registrar and Vice Chancellor(s). While the complicit within admin and faculty ranks ensured administrative paralysis and thum-twiddling, some "resigned" to beat the heat. NKC came in and the ghar wapsi started. It is again business as usual.
EC records show that he was very "generously" suspended by PIB and Co. Somehow the matter came before the EC again and this time the generosity and employment was terminated.
Previously a sacked Registrar (and the trigger for Cal HC instituting Justice PN Sinha Inquiry) went to HC to appeal against his dismissal despite HC confirming it earlier and the Inquiry Report indicting the scammer (but univ took no action beyond this, including recovery of crores lost and nothing against his co-conspirators as well indicted in the Inquiry Report):

On 06.02.20, the HC on extremely technical grounds sent back the matter to NUJS EC for reconsideration.

https://www.barandbench.com/news/litigation/calcutta-hc-division-bench-stays-2016-dismissal-of-ex-nujs-registrar-surajit-chandra-mukhopadhyay
For all his shenanigans at NUJS and post-NUJS (https://www.youthkiawaaz.com/2019/03/sexual-harassment-fraud-and-other-criminal-activities-in-amity-university-chhattisgarh/), he couldn't get return because the SJA was yet to fully become someone's lapdog. And NKC anyway wanted his own "team", which it seems is now finally in place.
Given this background, I wanted to know what happened to the suspended-and-then-terminated Asst Registrar (Admin) who went to Cal HC to appeal against his termination? He still has fans among NKC's acolytes.

And why continue with such an Acting Registrar?
https://www.legallyindia.com/lawschools/vc-appointment-none-of-your-business-new-acting-registrar-allegedly-tells-nujs-student-body-20181010-9581
Didn't NUJS admin violate the establishment Act by continuing with Acting Registrar Sen for nearly five years? I think 3 years is the max an Acting Registrar is supposed to serve. I guess anything goes for regime friendly judges.
