She should be prosecuted under public corruption laws for this very obvious act of corruption
The fact that she is not pulled up is a matter of corruption
Someone needs to file a case against her in Cal HC
Bud go back to first year and study legal methods.
What youre not seeing, and what students at JGLS and Ivys are not seeing. is that there is a wide chasm between the identity driven ideological performance of elite college credentialed ( wouldnt call them educated) wealthy people and the concerns of the daily worker and farmer and the average aam aadmi. The left could be a broad tent that includes all types. but the elite college credentialled are sucking all the air out of the room because of their desperate need for attention and are in fact harming poor people by furthering activism that comes from obscure academic arguments rather than material concerns of poor people. Look at this website this week- do we even care why farmers are protesting? or are we all just here to gossip about students and proctors and play teams?
Thats why people call you out on your own hypocricy. Im an old school socialist and I would anyday prefer the naked lack of concern of the right wing toward the poor than this faux concern thats really all about self promotion from the elite left. FWIW- the indian left doesnt want you or need you. You have nothing to offer it until you get a smidge of common sense and humility and a morality that goes beyond group think.
Lets pick apart a few things JGLS lefties have done recently to show you how none of this is important from a left wing perspective- only an identitarian one. And then lets consider what students at elite colleges could do if they really gave a **** about poor people.
This latest scandal- ram temple. The problem behind the ram temple is not the ram temple. Literally no ones lives got worse because they inaugurated a temple we all knew they were going to build. The problem behind the temple were the riots and violence that preceded the rath yatra in the 90's. Many of those people still havent gotten any justice at all and I doubt anyone at JGLS could name even one of those cases. The problem behind the ram temple is that its being propogated as an economic solution to the problem of poverty and no body is concerned about whether this is a solution, any kind of solution, or even the best solution to address unemployment and poverty. The problem behind the ram temple is that this issue has for too long taken up all the air time leaving little enough room to discuss farmer suicides and medical scams and a hundred other real things that plague the country. The elite left is obsessed with this because they like to know theyre more tolerant of muslims than the right. The problem of course is that average everyday muslims shouldnt have to choose between someone who views them as an easily mollified identitarian vote bank or someone who is out to define them out of the union. they should have lawmakers and activists who are looking out for their interests in jobs, education, discrimination at work or in renting a house. We've all known the Sacchar committee results for a while- What has the elite left done to propose solutions to that problem? do they even have a coherent understanding of why muslims are left behind in Indian society? no. they do not. The muslims religion is the only bit they care about- not the hunger in his belly nor the fact that his daughter cannot go to college or that his son cannot get a job or that his wife will not inherit property fairly.
A materialist politics would not prioritise the ram temple over all the other things that are happening in this country.
Before Ram temple there was palestine. Please explain to me exactly what a war in the middle east has to do with the material conditions of poor people in india? why should they give a crap? this is entirely a woke obsession thats only present at universities. Regular people do not care. they are not stuck to their phones looking at insta reels all day consuming propaganda about decolonisation (ridiculous academese for rape and murder) theyre working or trying to get work. they care about jobs, health care, education, opportunity, not having your air or water poisoned by a big company and being able to work with reasonable terms. thats it. this is a solely elite obsession. What material change happened because students at jgls had a protest and invited some silly speaker and got that professor cancelled? Did the war stop? did anyone who can do anything about the war take into account jgls students feelings? did anyone who can do anything about indias position do anything differently because of idiots in sonipat? no. so why is this issue more important for jgls students than the inhumane way some campus workers are treated on campus? Why is this issue more important than food service workers who have been seen eating out of the trash because theyre hungry? what is wrong with you guys that you think this kind of posturing makes you more moral?
What else did JGLS do- the modi documentary. I dont like censorship, I went to the screening. But at least I was aware that we were cosplaying as revolutionaries that day with little enough risk to our own well being. We didnt save the damn constitution, we just wasted precious capital playing cops and robbers on campus instead of advocating for cleaning up biswamil which is submerged in crap half of the year. Which we, without hesitation name our college festival after. This is disgusting. If youre only fighting right wing jerks on campus- youre not really fighting injustice or poverty. Youre just acting out some teenage fantasy.
Even the people who are revered on campus for their scholarship- their work is all ass backwards. One famous centre head worried to me how she doesnt want to upset a trans rights activist and wants to be a good ally. Well that trans rights activist wanted school teachers to give poor children puberty blockers and abolish same sex bathrooms in schools. Not private schools- government schools- thats in the NCERT guidance that he wrote. Why is JGLS more interested in fawning over this dude than protecting vulnerable children? if poor female kids dont have a female only bathroom they dont get sent to school. Why are the gender folks not daring to say anything about it at all?
Another womens rights centre is so obsessed with their own petty politics and ego games, the best thing they could do all last year was give diversity advice to a company, pad their resumes and that of their friends by hosting a conference and - iirc- an art competition? what are you high? these are the same people who will argue sex work is work and gloss over the dehumanisation inherent in that job or how truly helpless someone must be to do something like that to their own body. Elite college liberals who have done nothing at all to actually help women.
Oh and then theres that famous prof who writes about violence and the law and these navel gazing pieces about his own positionality when he works at jindal but hosts conferences on labour while jindal steel commits crimes against its workers. What tangible gain has anyone gotten out of his scholarship that elite self obsession and academese? Why is that guy a hero?
Sorry to say at least ivys had practitioner law professors like Catherine Mackinnon and Martha Minnow or even RBG in her day that actually moved the needle on important issues. Yall dont produce great scholarship, and neither do you actually do politics thats impactful. Have a little humility.
The thing leftist students at jindal should be doing if they really take their leftism seriously- is set up a legal services clinic that actually works for poor people in sonipat. actually put in days and nights trying to solve peoples problems instead of these meaningless protests. The protests all have the same stupid formula anyway and we're all tired of it. These safdar hashmi people will plan some theatrical protest that makes them feel morally virtuous, the right wing jerks will come and video and disrupt , they will send that crap to op india and organiser, the admin will behave like theyre amoral spineless yes men. and a few weeks will pass until it all repeats. What are any of you getting out of this? get a reality check. Stop confusing your privilege in caring about these virtue signalling issues with morality and try to actually make someones life a little better. Be nice to the driver uncle who has to carry a million little things to the gate cause princess cant hurt her nail. Show a modicum of respect to guard on campus who are hired to do a job to keep you safe. Try and protect academic standards and dont throw a fit over a bad grade. Try and learn the law. be a good student and maybe youll be a good person.
The future of the american or the indian left is not elite professors in law universities and their students. Not if they remain ignorant of the concerns of the poor. Even Baxi and other law professors were fairly elite- but at least they did something- their best- to move the needle on real issues. The future of the country is in freaking medical schools and engineering colleges and government universities like JNU where people do actual work that has actual impact. Save a life, build a bridge, figure out how to fix the economy. If you want to be included in that project of actually building a better country- you will have to- turn the phone off- shut up and learn to listen to people who actually need help. Spend your life in service of something other than your own image.

5) About the west bank, against khAmAs khAmAs, back up your claims please with sources ofcourse. You need to know the whole ass history of Fatah and how it got infiltrated by agents for the Mossad & Shin Bet and how that very reason paved the way for Hamas popularity in the West Bank and therefore created small poorly armed groups of freedom fighters precisely in Jenin Camp. And about the wars you mentioned there are so many aspects and factors you left out, like WHY those wars happened and how Israel illegally annexed Gaza and the West Bank besides the Golan Heights. The Oslo accords were a joke, it literally gave 78% of the land to the Israeli occupation only for them to withdraw form Gaza and the West Bank while still occupying Jerusalem precisely East Jerusalem which had led to tension and Israel took advantage of that at the time to completely take over Jerusalem and didn't let any presence of the Palestinian authority and the West supported Israel in doing so by stopping any Palestinian official activity in Jerusalem. And then they started destroying Palestinian homes in Jerusalem for years till now to build illegal settlements and oh you missed out Rabin's assassination by a fellow Israeli.
1) Israel was since the earliest beginnings of it's attempts at creation, a proxy colonialist project for the western powers back then for imperialist reasons like benefitting from land resources in the heart of the middle east.
In 1920, Britain assumed responsibility for Palestine under a League of Nations Mandate. During the next two decades, over 100,000 Jews entered the country.
The British Army's operations in Palestine during this period were mainly directed against militant Arab groups who were opposed to this mass Jewish immigration. Violence reached a height with the Arab Revolt of 1936-39 while the British Army started training Jewish militias like the infamous Haganah to opress and repress the Arab uprisings.
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2001/may/31/londonreviewofbooks
2) Historically speaking not biblically Mr Anti-Religious fundamentalism, what happened now? When it comes to Jews you draw the line and suddenly start believing the Bible? Anyways, Canaanites & Philistines were there before the Israelites and are genetically similar to the Palestinians of today unlike how the Israelites of back then aren't actually genetically similar to modern day "Israelis" who are majority Ashkenazi and from other random parts of the world. https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2018-11-14/ty-article-opinion/the-twisted-logic-of-the-jewish-historic-right-to-israel/0000017f-db53-d3ff-a7ff-fbf3bcc50000https://www.indstate.edu/cas/sites/arts.indstate.edu/files/Faculty/melyassini/NSOCJ_1_0.PDF and unlike the Israelite Jews, the Arab Philistines stayed in their land for generations continuously while the Jews stayed INTERMITTENTLY. So coming after 2000 years to throw someone out of their home and claim it as yours as per what your book says is a terrorist act! But hey the Arabs are victims here so who cares? We only care when the Jews are hurt.
3) for this one you just need some basic education and learning: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/nov/07/gaza-who-lives-there-and-why-it-has-been-blockaded-for-so-longhttps://apnews.com/article/palestinian-jordan-egypt-israel-refugee-502c06d004767d4b64848d878b66bd3dhttps://indianexpress.com/article/explained/explained-global/why-gaza-is-known-as-the-worlds-biggest-open-air-prison-8978189/https://www.indiatoday.in/amp/world/story/gaza-strip-blockade-israel-world-largest-open-air-prison-2452669-2023-10-23#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=17083780555046&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.comhttps://www.wionews.com/world/explained-how-gaza-strip-became-the-worlds-largest-open-air-prison-646668
4) Again the rape and murdered babies atrocity propaganda that got exposed and debunked SO many times. Well on the other hand look up this:https://www.cair.com/cair_in_the_news/israeli-guards-rape-palestinian-women/https://www.aa.com.tr/en/middle-east/un-experts-appalled-by-reported-rights-violations-against-palestinian-women-girls/3142105https://www.eui.eu/events?id=547024https://www.berghahnjournals.com/view/journals/conflict-and-society/9/1/arcs090105.xmlhttps://reliefweb.int/report/occupied-palestinian-territory/statement-un-experts-israels-violations-against-palestinian-women-girls-welcomed-euro-med-monitor#:~:text=%E2%80%9CAt%20least%20two%20female%20Palestinian,and%20uploaded%20to%20the%20Internet.https://reliefweb.int/report/occupied-palestinian-territory/statement-un-experts-israels-violations-against-palestinian-women-girls-welcomed-euro-med-monitor

5) Again, you have no idea about the history of the creation of Hamas ideologically & militant wise, neither the Palestinian political history, you're just parroting the zionist talking points as if you're their Indian spokesman. Hamas as a rightful Armed Resistance had it's Islamic theological beginnings to draw more people in to fight back against the brutal occupation and nothing can beat Islamic spirituality in that but you're not an Arab or a Muslim so you wouldn't know. Then they had very humble beginnings in their skills of fighting till the late 2000s precisely since 2006, after the blockade Iran as the only country directly supporting them military wise started to send them aid and nothing wrong with that, where's the wrong in here? And how is it any different than other western countries not only sending aid but also supporting genocides and wars throughout history till now like USA/UK/Germany/France etc...or any other country supporting a common interest and fighting off a common enemy. I'm sure India would do the same with Pak when it comes to Kashmir. Hamas was democratically elected and chosen and still supported, now even more since we can all see why were they right, now that everything got exposed except for the people with blind hearts who can't see. Oh and about the two states "solution" you really wanna talk about this? Okay let's start with 1947 partition plan https://www.jstor.org/stable/4321940https://www.salon.com/2015/11/30/u_n_voted_to_partition_palestine_68_years_ago_in_an_unfair_plan_made_even_worse_by_israels_ethnic_cleansing/ by this logic, you invade these people's lands claiming that it was a land without people while ethnically cleaning those people then throwing them out and never letting them return, making them refugees in their own lands, and you claim that land was given to you thousands years ago even if you never actually stayed in that land for generations as those refugee people did, then you demand the partition and the bigger part for yourself even if you were actually a minority and give the rest to the refugee majority, then frame yourself as the victim when they start rejecting and revolting. Plo, Hamas and all of them have every single right to reject the unjust illegal partition plan so called 2 state solution...
If that were true, then how did the ICC of IIM Calcutta deliver findings against the Director. The ICC report was robust enough for the IIM-C Board to remove the Director temporarily in the interest of doing a a thorough inquiry etc.
Someone pointed out a precedent involving PA vs then AR Admin. The PA lodged an FIR only after she had exhausted all internal processes including an ICC, which was later found biased prompting the EC to change its composition, including the head. The findings of the new ICC were upheld by the EC. By then the PA had also lodged an FIR and after much foot-dragging by the police, the then AR Admin was finally arrested and sent to police custody. Eventually he got bail and many years later his services were finally terminated by the EC in 2019. While the then AR Admin has appealed against this termination in the Cal HC, the case resulting from the FIR is still going on at the local trial court. Ten years and counting!
Right now we have no proof of FIR. No police action. Not even the VC being queried by the police. What about witnesses? Have they been queried? Even the LCC Barasat thing is beginning to sound dicey despite many folks claiming the complainant has been selectively showing the complaint.
There is one tech policy boutique firm with many big tech clients which makes interns work late at night and over the weekends. Sometimes the work is client-facing. I was once working with multiple deadlines and couldn't provide comprehensive research on a deliverable. The associate told me that it affected the advice that was sent to the client.
So yes, there are small firms that are severely understaffed where the work that interns do is depended upon by overburdened associates.
Otherwise considering the sort of matters that they are regularly engaged in, if you know your work, you will love it.

There is a pictorial book published by Sami Al Arian in 1938. It documents Zionist and British atrocities perpetrated against the Palestinians between 1921-1938.
It included: destruction, bombing, burning, maiming, stealing, torture, killing women and children, desecration of mosques, burning qur'ans, etc.

Question to you: before 1987 when hamas was created as an armed defense for defenseless unarmed Palestinians, who were the zionists fighting? And how many massacres they've committed against Palestinians under the eyes of "british mandate"? And how many Palestinians were kidnapped, taken into prisons of torture since 1967? 800,000 Palestinians "Imprisoned" indiscriminately till now, thousands of children, women, elderly taken into captivity, kidnapped and illegally abducted! They ARE THE HOSTAGES. But we don't see the likes of you caring do we? Cause they're not white , they're not jewish they're just some muslim arabs who dared omg they dared to resist and fight back one of the last tails of western imperialism in our countries, Israel.
Super hardworking and nice fellow
What BS. Exceeding committed hours is the dream we aspire to work towards.
and had somehow exceeded the hours they had committed to the clients.
How would an intern know the total hours committed? Beta, go study.
And then just send him whatever you can find. He committed it, he may spin the rest of it.

2023 was heavily inflated for all law schools.
then check how feasible they are
from my own experience llm does not add any value for law firm jobs if one comes back to India, if llm is being used to move to another jurisdiction one must have the pathway ready before committing to llm, doing llm has rarely anything to do with getting a job outside india
dont know much about mba but if the placement stats at top 50 places are anything to go by then people do get good jobs, however mbas are almost 3-4 times as expensive as llm especially if you do the 2 yr american version, uk version is one year and a bit cheaper, also fro the top 50 mba places you would need around 3 yrs of work ex or they will not even look at your application + 650 gmat score min
I did some web research and realized that I am out of depth. I still retain interest in the histories, politics of how certain stamps/coins came about, were discontinued etc. But I am not sure if I can or wish to pursue philately seriously.
If I were to sell the collection, I don't want to be scammed. I checked the auction houses, stamp (hobby) shops in Calcutta. Not inspiring confidence. Also they seem to be a disinterested lot. Maybe because the collection isn't that big (less than 1000 stamps and 100 coins).
If I were to donate/auction for a cause, not sure howto go about that as well since many NGOs were clueless. I really don't want a slimy employee/owner to derive pecuniary benefits all in the name of "cause".
Also there is the issue of taxation, law etc. The oldest stamp is from 1908 or something. None of the stamps are among the "most valuable" as per Google, YouTube but they are valuable as per Ebay et al.
So I am in a bind. Because I do have emotional attachment to this collection. But I don't want to do injustice to my relative's memory etc when I let it go because I know there is no one I know among friends or family members who are into philately or do anything worthwhile with this collection.
Apologies for the long post. If you have genuine suggestions, kindly let me know.
Give me a job at your firm, I will ask courts to manufacture cases which fit your requirements.
Israelis are held to the exact standard that im holding Palestinians to. Israelis have voted Bibi out twice before this and they will vote him out again. Did you know hes in a poorly held together coalition? that he didnt win outright like dictators do? Israelis have set up a democracy for themselves with a range of political parties and do often change their mind. The reason Israel gets more favorable treatment is because Israel is the ONLY party in the middle east to pursue peace. to give away land to try and buy peace. When israelis left the west bank they pulled their dead out of their graves and took the dead with them. When Israelis left Gaza they left behind hundreds of high tech green houses that could have provided food and employment for Gazans but they were destroyed by Palestinians. They did all of that unilaterally- they had no reason to other than- they have demonstrated that they wanted to pursue peace. Hamas and Palestinians have not demonstrated that at all. 5 times in modern history Hamas and PLO were offered good land- more land than they have now- for peace. And they declined without a counter offer 5 times- these people arent interested in peace , theyre interested in the whole thing because they think its their exclusive religious birthright. I disagree with that approach.
"Israelis didn't give any land that US and other powers didn't acquire for them forcefully to begin with" - I dont agree with that characterisation at all. I think its very skewed and biased. Of course israel has found a military partner in US. Where do you think Hamas' rockets and bombs come from? Do they grow them in the field? Its Irani money. I dont resent Israel for protecting itself with defensive wars in its history. They have that right like every other country in the world. They only had that land because since 1948 a newly formed jewish state has been attacked by all its neighbors and mostly won that land in battle. If pakistan attacked us tomorrow and we defended ourselves and took some land- I wouldnt call that colonisation. Thats just war. Unprovoked war at that. And Israel exists and has a right to continue its existence.
"Palestinians got their human rights violated in Gaza on a daily basis by Israeli forces even before October". This is not all the way true. On October 6th there were thousands of palestinians who could go to work in israel , live in israel, and go back home when they wished to. Since 2005 israel left Gaza- completely left it- in the control of a Hamas government voted in by palestinians. How is it israeli responsibility then whether Gazans can provide for themselves?. It is not an open air prison because Israel wishes to protect its own citizens from crimes. And it is not an open air prison because Israel imposes a blockade on a hostile neighbor that wants israel gone. Israel doesnt owe palestinians that and its ridiculous to characterise that as some human rights violation. I think if you want your own independence and your own government- it kind of becomes your governments job to provide for you. It wont do for unemployed and underfed Indians to blame Bangladesh or Srilanka or America for being unemployed and underfed- they have to hold their government accountable. What has Hamas done for Palestinians in the 17 years theyve been in charge of Gaza? How many hospitals and schools and universities did they build? Why are palestinian kids dying without potable water? Why do rockets get prioritised over that? Could it be that theyre feckless and corrupt and know that spreading anti semitism is easier than actually building something for their kids? The reason Hamas gets any support is because there is jew hatred and people want Israel to not exist. The choice for palestinians wasnt support hamas/ israel- thats a false equivalency. Its like saying the choice for Indians is to support Modi/ Pakistan. We have other parties and a democracy we have protected to enable us to hold our governments accountable. The choice for palestinians has always been- support hamas or support any other palestinian opposition party- and theyve sadly always chosen hamas. And as long as they do- they will continue to be at war with israel and they will continue to lose.
If I shift from working under a Senior Advocate to a position in a firm in delhi, will my experience be counted and considered for the position in the firm?
The only thing? A case like that wonโt exist because itโs the wrong law. I have gotten into discussion spats w him wherein I have refused to agree to him and have maintained my stand ok reading of law. He says no I agree but get me sth else.
How do I tell him that Iโm not going to waste my time because itโs a lost case?
The people of WB unlike many other states take forever to change regimes. And when that happens, the notorious ecosystems survive and thrive. So it really doesn't matter who wins or loses in 2024 and/or 2026.
You (may) have the evidence. If NKC is compromised, take it elsewhere. EC, Chancellor, the state govt etc. True many in the "system" were/are complicit. The SJA then did all it could.
But all you do is talk.
While iPleaders knew that the courses did not have UGC approval, it continued bringing in students. No one had ever thought (including SJA, which had no idea about the illegality) that this sweetheart deal would later go very sour.
But it did always amaze me why NUJS kept litigating in the courts instead of doing proper in-hose inquiry just like the EC had directed. NUJS lost the arbitration as well. You'll be so surprised to know who did the arbitration for NUJS. A closer look into how the cases/arbitration was handled will make the "political management' very clear and how the same vested interests triumphed again despite significant jolts due to SJA intervention.
It is ironical that a certain someone is now complaining to EC against NKC for having approved a payout to iPleaders without EC nod.
Nothing ever really changes at NUJS.
