We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Even SAM, AZB bills more than this. Trilegal bills far more than SAM, CAM etc. Trilegal's hourly rates are the highest in industry.
Imagine an accused takes the defense that they have murdered the lover of their ex because the same has happened many times elsewhere.

But yes, it seems a good number to retire. Given the sum, I am assuming you are from one of the premier law firms, so you can just choose to go solo and do a little bit of advisory, just to keep affording the foreign trips once a year. But that aside, this sum is effective enough to hang up the boots.
Whoever you are, cheers on achieving this milestone. May you have a wonderful time ahead :)
Use and throw
- is it their connections
- do they have other worldly legal acumen
What is it that sets them apart .
(a) you stay with them and move towns as and when they get posted; and typically, you will get posted every 2-3 years in the IAF and usually the postings are better than the army (ie not in places which are 2 days away from the closest road head) and they don't have a concept of field postings (ie non-family stations). All IAF postings will have internet and phone connection, unlike the army, so if you take up an in-house role which is WFH, then that is something you can work with. But you should be aware that spouses have a large role to play in the career of military officers; you can make or break your spouse's career and there are many obligations that you will have as a spouse if you live with them, obligations which you cannot decide to not be a part of if you live there; or
(b) you choose to stay in a big city and pursue your career and meet your spouse as and when they get a leave. The best city will be Delhi for this since there is enough IAF in Delhi, including Hindon in Ghaziabad, which will mean that your spouse can get posted in Delhi once or twice in their career.

Theres so much ▮▮▮ going on here.
- Socialism and welfarism are superior forms of economic governance
- Communism is bae, Marx is bae, Stiglitz is bae, Amartya Sen is bae. Capitalism is evil, Friedman, Bhagwati Reagan, Thatcher and Ayn Rand are evil.
- Identity-based reservation (over pure merit) is a good thing. That the recent SCOTUS decision in Students for Fair Admission v Harvard is wrong and should not be followed in India
- Palestine is good, Israel is evil.
- Fast-tracking citizenship for persecuted non-Muslim minorities in Muslim countries, via the CAA, is evil
- Article 370 should not have been revoked
- Modi is evil
- The farm protestors demands are justified
IMO these views arise because of the echo chamber students are exposed to: their curriculum, their faculty and social media algorithms. It's high time we introduce ideological diversity at NLUs. We need to focus on curriculum reforms, hiring faculty with centre-right views, having student clubs and reading groups that promote centre-right thought (in contrast to the Safdar Hashmi Circle at Jindal).
Let's begin with a simple example. How many law schools include the following in their first year syllabus?
- Bhagwati and Friedman's writings on free markets
- Eric Sowell's vast body of work on libertarian economics and opposition to identity politics
- Nani Palkhivala's critique of Indra Sawhney
- Nani Palkhivala's various critiques of the licence raj
- Arun Shourie's critiques of Marxist historiography
- Arghya Sengupta's book on the the colonial constitution and article on the Hindu Mahasabha's Constitution on Hindustan Free State
We have lost Gen Z. Let's at least save Gen Alpha?
- Need to improve campus infrastructure
- Need for good faculty: recruit NLU alumni, plus good guest faculty
- Need for collaboration with good foreign universities like tier 1 NLUs (QS top 50 ideally, QS top 100 at a minimum)
- Need to raise funds from private donors
- Need to stop wastage of funds on BS courses like the BSc criminology course
- Need to eminent lawyers on the governing bodies instead of obscure TMC lackeys
- Need to reach out to the alumni network
Finally, in the short-term, immediately petition the CJI for a merit-based VC appointment and the inclusion of jurists of national eminence on the selection committee, similar to what was done at NLSIU.
1. Class
2. Looks/complexion whatever you want to call it
3. Community (religious)
4. Caste (depending on definition, intra-UC was not even a consideration, but UC-SC gave some pause for concern).
This has continued into social circles at T1 law firms as well. (3) becomes as important as (2) or might even replace it, and (1) is not as dominant.
University must throw all the dogs out. Dog lovers can take a dog to their homes
T1 firms are always on the lookout to hire T2 associates with good levels of knowledge so that they can discount their experience and save some cost by hiring them as freshers while they have one year of experience.
The only partially true aspect here is that we are indeed facing a hostel shortage, for which we are planning to hire an external hostel provider.

Of course, please read up on as many gen corp agreements that you can lay your hand upon, and update CV. Lots of them are available on internet.
Do the cover letter your self. Will help develop strengths of character.

This is the most dangerous thing possible. Selective outrage. If you truly care about women or people from marginalized communities then you should raise your voice irrespective of the party involved
Best thing: his juniors from when I interned are now really close friends. I would recommend interning there.

About the BBA course in general it is two subjects per semester and it's hands on with case studies and project work.Cant provide more insight as i am a BA student but please do contact nluj seniors

Student ar NLUJ looking forward to seeing you here
As regards the JRF, it is trickier. Can be a bit hit and miss. I did not get it on my first go, but did on the second. I don't think I can put a finger on anything I changed in terms of my 'preparation.'
When India became "Republic" we did away with Royalty etc (on paper). But it is very much in our minds. We rail against dynastic parties, cliques et al but are more than okay with dynasts and entrenched ecosystems that allow such cultures to not just survive but also survive.
DYC isn't the first. Wouldn't be the last.
By the way, why didn't the Associate Professor also complain about other deliberate omissions of NKC? I admit she isn't obligated to do so but when she is claiming that NKC has festered serious rot in NUJS and has subsequently victimized her because she spoke "truth" to power....it is odd that she would drop well-documented instances of abuse of power by NKC, especially the manner in which he killed off inquiries and related RTIs. The Wire ran two articles on these issues.
NKC/NUJS did not contest those articles.
And with all the talk of "setting" (a DSG in HC who was handling several sensitive cases was dropped unceremoniously) getting betrayed is a certainty. Btw, the state legal convenor of the principal opposition party knows about all this and more. So does a certain much talked up ASG in Delhi. Both have bigger fishes to fry.
The "Bengali VC" thing isn't an issue this time. It was a bogey raised last time to scare off some people and limit the pool to TMC friendly academics. NKC wasn't the first choice but he was able to get into the good books of KD and his patrons/mentor. He also had Justices AR and SS and Lord Taluk to bat for him.
FM et al will only come into picture if NKC has lost the confidence of KD and Co. Is that the case? I don't see EC (which mostly means KD and Co) acting against the VC. Has it even asked the VC why he hasn't initiated the search process for his successor.
Clearly NKC wishes to stay on (as long as possible) and KD and Co also want him to continue. SJA et al don't matter.
I am a 2020 graduate with nearly similar if not all, experiences. I just want to say that the industry itself has plenty of direct and indirect barriers. Don't be too hard on yourself and definitely don't do anything to yourself due to this industry. I think its more about your communication skills and networking, plenty of people are busy hiring their networks, the other plenty are (at least in my limited experience) hiring people who can advocate for themselves (even if its exaggerated truth or plain lies). You will end up questioning your skills or worth but try talking to some of the people in the industry and you will be surprised if not shocked. Maybe just work on your presentation skills, how you present yourself and talk about yourself. You will find your way and figure it out, just stay around. Ultimately, law nahi toh kuch aur sahi, no industry is worth more than your life.
No salary for faculty members!
No hostel for students who will join soon.
University has completely become bankrupt. How come it is not going out in media?
Trilegal is the first firm (non family full merit)
How does the organization work?
How does partnership work?
Why is Trilegal not failing. Why is it successful so far?
Any insider spill the beans.

Same for monkeys. They are poor creatures who are hungry, so that’s why they appear aggressive. Be kind and they will love you back.🐵💕
Caste and community are unnatural and artificial. No one is naturally attracted to a certain caste or religion.

Please dont waste 5 years in some remote area for no material advantage. Infact you have much better options at your disposal being in Delhi and trying things out for yourself rather than just applying over an email (and getting rejected) from some remote area.
Quiet, non controversial, efficient, got shit done
When will NUJS have someone like him 😭😭😭
The dog may have thyroid problem, its a common issue in agressive dogs, and yes it can be treated
Please do not beat the dog - just contact dog shelters in Gurgaon
There was no online courses regulation from UGC before 2018 by when ipleaders courses had stopped
Ipleaders was a vendor, they can’t be faulted for lack of legal compliance if any by nujs 😂😂
ipleaders was stuck with NUJS riding tiger as NUJS sucked out the profit from each course
Once the ipleaders went independent they grew by leaps and bounds, as is visible to everyone, despite severe reputational damage caused by nujs saga
Had nujs stuck to ipleaders it would have benefited from the growth but has now lost out thanks to conspiracy theorists like you
While iPleaders ran courses, nujs made several crores from it; but never before or after it had made any significant money from any distance or online courses
Just some facts for you 🥰
Also, how the F does the TMC get almost the same amount of donations as the Congress? As one of the comments says, it obviously has to be the proceeds of scam money being laundered through shell companies. Blatant looting of the public!!! 😡😡😡
