But, given the things said on Dil Se and also perhaps knowing that MG would not align with the right, I wanted to understand what motivates them to do it. Is it merely ideology? If that is the case, how is KS or MG different from any right-wing narrative mongering?
you may try out smu for job if you do your phd from nus, smu prefers nus phds (if you want to stay in singapore)
Cyril Shroff and Vandana Shroff (CAM)
Like, she speaks to a guy for literally 10 seconds and not only are people getting them married but also OPPOSING the marriage on caste grounds, on the basis of some obscure sub caste nobody outside Haryana has even heard of! Also, how much publicity have we given to Sarabjot Singh, Swapnil Kusale and Aman Sehrawat? ZERO. Even the hockey team is getting less publicity than her! Also note how little publicity Sakshi Malik, Mirabai Chanu and Lovlina Borgohain got, for obvious reasons.
Someone who IS getting a lot of publicity and money, despite not conforming to our biased standards of beauty, is Vinesh Phogat. But that's only because of politics.
We are absolutely non-serious about sports: we are world-class specialists in patriarchy and politics, however.
Thanks, I hope I get some help out here.
If you're unable to find case law, try to find alternative sources. Legislations, articles etc.
Remember to focus on proper presentation.
If you're having difficulty writing sentences, try to turn off all distractions and just write what comes to your mind and push yourself to write a page. These issues you're dealing with are common. But everyone gets through it. You just need to walk through the fire, feel all the feelings but walk through it. You will become better after it.
- they were told it was a suicide
- the hospital did not cooperate with them
- they were initially not shown the body
- the police are not doing their job properly
- the whole plan was to hurriedly do a post mortem and cremate the body asap
- they suspect a coverup

The whole hearing saw Sibal obfuscating facts, with Menaka saying "yes, yes" after everything he said and nodding her head furiously. We can see and hear everything, it's all out there.
LI readers defending Mamata: don't you dare downvote me and run away like a coward. Counter me with facts!
You asked if he had turned down jobs elsewhere to come back to India - yes he has. You say itβs about policies heβs making - when those policies are defended then itβs about his character . When his character is defended then itβs about policy. How does he bully you ? By being strict ? Imposing rigorous academic standards ? Thatβs just life mate. If your boss asks you to work on tight deadlines tomorrow will you think heβs being a bully?
Iβm going to quit this conversation now because it literally is turning into an argument with a toddler.
The other thing to note is that Menaka is merely nodding and saying yes to what Kapil Sibal is saying. The video is out there. She barely even said a sentence on her own. Presumably, it wasn't like this during the 377 hearing, which made her a TIME 100 honoree? So, instead of saying yes to everything Kapil Sibal said and blindly defending the state, why couldn't she condemn the coverup and instead say that the state should be held accountable? In other words, that she is representing the state only to ensure accountability and punish those responsible for the cover up, rather than deny allegations? Of course, if Menaka wishes to shed the tag of a human rights lawyer and be like Kapil Sibal and AM Singhvi, and represent anyone and everyone (rather than Vrinda Grover or Flavia Agnes, who fight for causes) then she should say so. Practice what you preach!
I mean these are good people who interact nliu pe

Itβs completely unfair to publish these threads that are just misinformation and virtue signalling and then censor and shame anyone who disagrees with you. You donβt actually want to encourage a reasoned civil discussion - you want to indicate to others that only somethingβs are appropriate to say and everything else is wrong think. If thatβs what it is - message your buddies on a WhatsApp group and you can all congratulate each other on being the goodies. This specific community has repeatedly adopted a common sense approach - you keep getting ratioed on almost all of these threads so far.
If youβre so convinced of the virtue of your position why would you feel the need to censor ?
Should I opt out of it and sit for clat again after 3 month preparation. Parents have submitted the fees but finances are not a big concern. Previous alumni from the college kindly guide. Most peers are vague with what their goal is and seniors in my limited time have not been a real help.
First person was a genuine star alum: famous, popular, great career achievements etc. He committed suicide. The true cause of death was disguised to protect his privacy. Second person was also well known. He was an alcoholic and drank himself to death. He was depressed. Here too the actual cause of death was not disclosed to respect his privacy.
What both cases show is that successful people can be deeply unhappy and lonely. It's important to have supportive friends. I personally think that the legal profession is one that will give you many useful contacts, but not many genuine friends. Your best shot at making friends is during your college days in law school. If you graduate from law school without having made a group of close friends, it will get tough to make new friends later on in life.
Thanks!
He has been in charge of the BCI continuously since 2012, barring a brief interruption. The next-longest tenure is held by Ram Jethamalani: 1970 to 1976. I'm not going to spend time talking about Mishra's track record because everyone knows what it is. I just want to know if we will have a new BCI Chairman, to carry out much-needed pending reforms like foreign law firm entry, Indian Judicial Service, NLU nationalisation, law school curriculum reform and opening of foreign law school campuses. Or will Mishra hold both posts simultaneously?
It's also curious how Mishra is so important to the BJP. He was initially with the BSP, then switched to the Congress when Manmohan Singh became PM, then became a BJP supporter when Modi became PM.
Also, doesn't the government have n number of means based scholarships exactly to help poor students (at the cost of merit bases scholarships)? NLS should condone or reduce the fees of a few poor students and renew it on a yearly basis subject to academic performance.
Committees / Cells are basically auxillaries of the college management, which carry out essential college functions, like placements, internships, moot court selections, reviewing publications, etc. However, college cannot employ people and financially sustain this. They lure students into working for these committees / Cells, in exchange for scraps of power (which these students can abuse for themselves). Basically, it's just overhyped unpaid labour, where you are a slave if the college admin, but are considered a baller amongst your batchmates. Don't let anyone else convince you otherwise. This is as real an assessment as you'll get.
Mamata doesnβt give a damn because they know that this class can never vote her out of power. Much like how Lalu ruled Bihar for many years, despite inflicting a jungle raj.
I'm a third year student at one of the Tier 3 NLU, with CGPA, around 8/10. Internships at 3 Boutique law firms, district courts, along with Participation in 3-4 Moots and ADR competitions, which were conducted by Big 4. Also, I've presented 8 research papers, and published 2 of them.
I understand that this CV is very below average. But any ways to improve it by the end of my 3rd year.
Placement 0
Would love to hear insights about in house work + companies which have decent culture.
Fixed: 40 LPA
Variable: Upto 20% of fixed (Generally around 12-14% so can say 5 LPA)
ESOPs: 4L vested each year (mostly worthless as I probably won't end up exercising them)
Just wanted to understand how that salary compares to industry standard. How much is the gap as compared to a lawyer working for a Tier 1 firm in India with 7 years PQE?
Would love to have insights.
Bhopal offers it in cybersecurity and Kolkata offers it in forensic science.
