Could someone with contacts help this non - nlu guy ;(
I'm a 3rd year student at a decent NLU. Nowhere near the top of my batch but decent marks, good moots and nice enough internships in my city.
Looking to intern at firms this November. I have already sent out a bunch of applications and am actively following up, but little to no responses have me worried.
So, please help a junior out and suggest firms to intern at as a 3rd year student. I'm open to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore & Hyderabad.
Do you have any idea?
It'll get adjusted:)
You may rightfully criticise the law anyway, but the OP was unfortunately a troll who was not being authentic.
Bro, the point being made is that it is a blatant violation of Article 19. The Governor shoudl rertuirn the bill saying that only the disclosure of victim's name is prohibited, not the publication of ANY matter related to a court proceeding.
And thank you for raising Vidhi. Literally everyone there is an NLU grad with an LLM from a reputed university abroad. I trust them more to draft laws than this law firm.

Also Moderators: possible to make the treads searchable?
We all have the rankings for best law firms but how about top 10 law chambers to work for in delhi and mumbai?
Please add details like practice area and salary and recruitment process
If Mamata dares to arrest reporters from ABP Ananda, Republic Bangla or TV9 Bangla (the three channels she has boycotted), then these guys will immediately go to the High Court or Supreme Court, using a senior advocate, and get bail. But if she arrests at 20 year old YouTuber he or she will obviously not have the same level of influence to hire big lawyers.
Media has slammed the bill.
LI moderators have slammed the bill.
LI moderator: "Contested". 🙄

In the market for transactional lawyers, especially in boutique firms where you're handling significant responsibilities, an in-hand salary of ₹65k-₹70k is indeed reasonable. Your combined experience as a transaction lawyer and semi-qualified CS strengthens your case.
If you choose to stay at your current firm, given your role in not just executing but also educating and managing, you should ask for a raise that brings your salary closer to this range—around ₹65k in-hand, factoring in the firm's lack of leave policy and the workload you're handling.
However, it's essential to articulate the value you bring to the firm, emphasizing your role in client management, deal structuring, and your contributions to maintaining the firm's reputation and operations. This will bolster your case whether you're negotiating for a raise or interviewing for a new position.
pros & cons of joining a senior advocate vs joining a recent independent practitioner who was a partner before in T1/T2
Ask the faculty warden to keep it secret, and just text him when they do. He will raid.
If you feel that faculty warden is also chommu, take step bro. Stand up for yourself, don't get afraid of people judging you.
When the group of smokers come, ask them to leave otherwise you will complaint.
Just one advice for your college life ahead, never be afraid of people will think you this or that, if they are genuinly with you, then they must understand your genuine problems. Whether religious or health.
However, can you spill some more details/ give some more information and just more context? Plus give the initials of the team/ Partner too if possible.
I did a normal internship there last April, and was given a callback, but so far I have done nothing but basic research work and other trivial tasks!
How will they assess me on the basis of this!?
Feeling that I have wasted my time here.
Also no one would become a judge once they start counsel practice from a law firm as it affects credibility and trust of clients
