I'm from one of the junior batches at NLS 3 year LLB. A couple of people, around 10-15 got placements. Not everyone who wanted a corp job has gotten one. Hope this clarifies things for you.
On top of that, our bill had random additions we never asked for. It really felt like they were hoping we wouldn’t notice. Just a heads-up to anyone going there — double-check your drink and your bill. It’s disappointing when places try to take advantage like this.
At same level even T2 lawyers get the same or more, T2 lawyers male almost 1.8x. while his peers may be earning more but even he has been a very bright engineer.
So why do people here keep comparing themselves to best finance jobs and spread sadness, imo it's a pretty decent take home we get (not saying it shouldn't be improved adjusting ppp from UK or US firms but even now it's a fairly decent job)

Since you're in Mumbai, presumably you can you're okay reading Devanagari - Hindi - Marathi. So north india like Delhi should be fine for relocation.

I did some background check & I found that the Partner concerned is a standing counsel for CBDT & CBIC, Now I know that GPs (government pleaders) are paid erratically & sometimes they are not even paid on time at all.
That being said how is it that SDS can afford to pay so much? Also anybody here who practices DT as well as IDT? It is really tough to imagine someone working in both silos of tax.

1. Fintech practices is usually an ‘ancillary practice’ with law firms clubbed either with TMT, Financial serviced regulatory or the good old banking and finance. Fintech lawyer usually advise NBFC’s, Banks, and Fintechs in structuring their financial products such that they are RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, etc complaints, work on outsourcing arrangements, inter alia. The work also has now a healthy bunch of data privacy in the mix given the DPDP act
In house roles can never be compared to tier 1 law firms. There is no fixed salary culture at in house roles.
Questions you should answer -
Which Industry? Which company? - IT (Wipro, Infosys likes) /FMCG (ITC, HUL likes), Startups
What work do you do? M&A, Commercial Contracts, Financial regulations?
Then only someone can give a proper assessment.
+ You want to learn IP, then do it in a small firm. Understand the basic procedures of prosecution and opposition first. Then choose big firms for internship

The reason for this is that most of the IITs, except for Kharagpur, don’t have a dedicated law department. You will have to enroll in humanities or social science PhD which may be interdisciplinary.
So if you want to do doctrinal research try for NLUs. If you want to learn other tools and research methods then do it from interdisciplinary places like IITs, JNU, TISS etc.

The body of the departed soul was placed at the university around 3:30 PM on Thursday (classes were suspended for the afternoon) for students to pay their respects, yet the university authorities ▮▮▮ dismissed the students request to suspend classes for the next day since many of them were in huge distraught with the sudden passing of one of their batchmates. Classes were resumed the very next morning at 9 AM, completely ignoring the emotional grief of the students.
Once again, the university has made it crystal clear that holding classes is far more important ▮▮▮. It is high time that serious attention be paid to the mental health of the student community, rather than treating it with ignorance.

In the absence of information relevant to working professionals, this website will be reduced to a message board for students with no professionals to respond to their queries. I mean, we’re 80% there anyhow but keep up with these moderation standards if you want to make it a 100%.
Your question is if ‘any’ student was placed, not if ‘every’ student was. The answer to the former question is yes. People have got law firm jobs and PSUs. Others have gotten admission for higher studies. Others are still looking, presumably.

1. I don't know how to build my CV, and just need guidance to get into IP/TMT.
2. I've somehow figured out that that's my cup of tea. But there is again one confusion—whether to go for IP or TMT or both.

The 3 year LLB is not for Corp jobs tbh. They don't have a course in IP, they study important subjects like Tax and Labour laws after their Day Zero so they fail to compete with their 5-year LLB counterparts. Sudhir did force the firms to shortlist students from 3-year LLB but most of them got rejected after group discussion or interview.
