By luxury cars I mean BMW, Merc, Audi, Porsche and above.
In fact everyone who left Indus in even feb/march got their full bonuses and people who joined as late as march got a 1 month pro rata bonus. Idk what you are talking about.
I don't understand what you mean by sucked out previous year bonuses.
When applying to other law firms laterally, what has worked best for you:
-Reaching out to HR via email,
-Messaging or connecting with partners directly on LinkedIn, or
-Cold-emailing partners at the firm?
Curious to hear your recommendations in terms of response rate and effectiveness. Also open to any dos and don’ts people have learned from experience.
I'm good.
Thanks for asking.
The ground floor ladies washroom is unbearably stinky. The gas-like smell in there is so intense, I actually puked once. It is impossible to use it without feeling sick. I have been trying to avoid it, but it is becoming really difficult to manage through the day.
Is there any alternate cleaner washroom in the building that people are using? Like the washroom near the conference rooms (or is it reserved only for the partners)??
in most universities with a 4 point scale 80 or 85 is considered as 4.0.

I wanted to understand the whole process of getting enrolled with SBC (but I will be working with a law firm). So I understand that AIBE is mandatory to give and once cleared, we get our COPs. But that exam is held in Nov-Dec, so do we need to get enrolled with the SBC beforehand, like when our final college results are declared? Or do we enroll after the AIBE exam? And I live in one state but will be working in another - so which SBC should I apply for?
Also, the requirement of getting a moral and fitness certificate from atleast two persons of respectability and position (not being his relations) - will this include any person in the legal profession, including professors who sometimes also practice or do we need to get it from full time practising lawyers only?
Btw, Scopus indexed journals take a out an year to get back with the review. So be ready to be frustrated with them as well.
Both Nitesh and Rajendra have big teams. Work in AZB is more diverse and big ticket, but that does not mean Nitesh does not have good matters.
Hate to be spiteful but really wish them the best for running about their business on loose change/blood money like this (which may actually have meant quite something for a partner with families, dependents, EMIs etc.).
Really hope karma settles it for everyone!

Any one with similar experience please guide,.should I switch or should i wait
On increment, don't fully agree that it will be based on current salary. You should be able to get A1 salary in other places or they may offer you their A0 salary and then move you up the ladder.
Thankyou :)
PS: Expecting Mumbaikars to come all guns blazing with their usual volley of abuses, insults and remarks like "if you don't like this city which has been kind to people and helped them grow, then leave this city. Shitting upon the place which accepts everyone is pathetic". Go on Mumbaikars, you guys truly show where you come from.
I work at a London MC. India entry is neither a priority nor a focus area for the firms. They will all make some form of entry as limited partnerships etc., but the move will be akin to shifting their respective India desks to India. Not a major shift in any form or manner. If Indian attorneys think foreign law firms are going to take out six floors in a building somewhere and bump up retainers big time, they're mistaken unfortunately.
Yes, Mumbai is expensive and al that, but your earnings will still be more and 💰💰💰is what matters
CAM guys notorious for inflating their numbers to the world. Azb happy to not be good pay masters. Trilegal then k&co in my view are best paid.
Humanities have destroyed education system.
I'm technical graduate +MBA+ law with 1.5 yr exp in law.
How common is it for law firm associates to join? How easy/difficult is the interview and screening process?
Any tea?

His starting salvo in this legal theory seminar was rather unfortunate. He committed that most embarrassing faux pas - showing off to the teacher what he'd learned in his undergraduate jurisprudence class before the first seminar in this legal theory course had even started, speaking in the very vaguest of terms about the Hart-Fuller debate - vague enough to sound smart to the uninitiated from civil law jurisdictions, but also vague enough to leave his hearers (especially the more discerning ones) unsure if he actually knew what he was talking about. The teacher, an Israeli with the three juicy Oxford degrees of BCL, MPhil and DPhil under his belt and an enthusiastic proponent of Joseph Raz's ideas about how patiently to suffer fools in his class, was not amused (and showed it, with his usually cosmopolitan English pronunciation, which had only a hint of foreign accent, becoming much more gutteral for a few minutes). Over a period of 10 weeks, I think that would have ended up having an impact (how perceptable that might be is something we can discuss) (on a very small scale, in terms of sample size) on the perception of his uni, based on the fact that there were graduates from universities around the world, including two other Indians - one guy from DU (and me) - a Japanese who was on government scholarship from his country, an Albert Campion-style Brit (with many of the trappings, including the high voice, the ability to talk nonsense when he felt Like and the "piculiarly inoffensive countenance"), who liked to liked to pretend that his intelligence was 2/10 when it was more like 7 or 8/10, and a Mexican, all of whom did a lot better than our ILS friend (both in terms of classroom performance and, if my sources on the grapevine are to be relied upon, in the exam as well). Seeing as we exchanged LinkedIn profiles, I am pretty sure most of us saw the name of that guy's undergrad uni.
Does this represent the overall quality of ILS kids? Or was this guy an exception? What was he about - an unmotivated character who was hoping to achieve a job in the UK legal sector without doing the hard yards? Or someone who was having a year-long professional vacation after a few years of law firm life? Or maybe he just didn't like the legal theory class very much? Most of these questions I am not qualified to answer, because I didn't bother getting to know the guy beyond exchanging LinkedIn handles and a pleasantry once every couple of weeks. As for the last question, he did admit once that he regretted taking the legal theory class, that it was outside his chosen specialisation, that he'd taken it purely for fun and now found it a bit dull.
Take these observations as you will and please advise as you like.
While yes a small number of students were consistent in being hungry and wanting to learn when we were in college- it wasn’t 1. at least in my batch at law school there were ten solid people who were driven and motivated and consistent and competed with each other to become the best we could become and genuinely liked and wanted to learn the law. And that small number you could depend on. Now basically everyone thinks law is just a scam they can pull by chat gpting their way through it.
But nah. It’s just me. I’m just bad at being inspiring. Okay. Shame on me I guess. Don’t worry buddy I’ll leave soon.
