we all know what happens to tax money it has to pass through Centre, State govt, Ministers, Secretaries, District boards, MLAs, MPs, Local leaders, Bureaucrats, Resistance movements, panchayats, muncipalities, clerks, shadow governments, etc
Educated people will tell you that it does not matter who did what in the past. What matters is whether a policy is useful and feasible at present for it to implement now. BJP only wants to turn the focus away to Nehru and Indira, despite their supposed commitment to development now.
It is very disrespectful to intrude on people's personal space like this. The general rule is do not text for things that are appropriately done over work email. If a senior person doesn't share their number with you then do not text them at all. And if they do share it, only text for the reason that they share the number with you for. Think of it this way - if someone told you where a partner lived, would you show up at their home to ask for an internship or would you worry about how that would make you look.
Just send the message on WhatsApp number. Max to max, you can get scold; whereas, you will have atleast some chances of getting an internship if you draft a well crafted message for WhatsApp. One person secured placement on Day Zero just like this in AZB in 24' batch even though she already secured vacation at HSF.
For your own sake, please don't text Partners on their personal numbers. Reach out on LinkedIn or send an email instead. Respect the boundary between personal and professional life. You'll actually hurt your chances if you text them on WhatsApp. It'll be seen as an invasion of privacy, not "due diligence", as you seem to believe.
Just because you have the number of the partner, would you call him up requesting internship? If not, the same would apply to seeking internship through whatsapp also.
At the most, you can approach him/her on linkedin. But not beyond that.
A lot of the submissions in constitutional bench matters are on Google drive. The links are accessible by everyone. Just have to catch hold of some lawyer involved in such matters.
Anyone having access to them can post them here. β¬οΈππ½
NUSRL has a shitty gym. No cardio machines for bois because obviously. Shitty weights, no rack for squatting, centuries old multi machine, wobbly benches so that you can drop the weight on your face, bendy barbells (more like tmt sariya). Overall lives up to the college's standard.
Harsh but true. The more money you spend on student infra the better your gym will be. Most NLU gyms have two broke-ass treadmills, one broke-ass bike and a few dumbbells, which are the only things of use and not damaged. But then just doing bicep curls is not enough for overall fitness: even girls wonβt be impressed with only biceps if the rest of your body is too thin or too fat.
TNNLU has 3 air conditioned gyms. 1 gym is fully functional. There are good sports facilities - basketball court, open ground and an indoor badminton court.
Hostel gyms (girls and boys) were vandalised by former students and converted into a common ac dorm room.
So what's the issue with that? Gym trainer is an upcoming and growing career choice, there is a dearth.
U cud say the same for the 90 percent job seekers going to law firms. Maa baap ne itna law pe Kharche kiye learning constitution and jurisprudence only to find punctuation errors in random documents
My school friend works there. He said that one cabinet ministers son approached him for some deal for getting forged loans for his factory from the bank similar to Rana Kapoors case, and he won Rs. 84 CR as commission. Then he invested that amount in Adani stocks four years back on the recommendation of the son, and now holdings are worth 300 CR
1. 2 BHK in a decent / good locality (Bandra, Parel, Dadar, etc.) but not top notch locality will cost you around 2-3 cr. So expect around 160k a month in EMI.
2. Assuming you change cars every 10 years, a 16L car would cost around 20k a month in EMI plus around 5k a month in maintenance. Not considering the germans, which would cost manifold on both counts.
3. Maid plus driver would be around 35-40k a month (can increase depending on your work hours ofc).
4. Foreign holidays in Asia would cost around 150-300k each for 2 people. So around 35k a month at least.
5. Each good meal should cost around 5-7.5k for 2 people, so around 15-20k a month.
If you look at the above numbers, you are already out around 270k a month (for a family of 2), on top of which you need to add fuel, food, maintenance, clothes, health insurance, life insurance, misc. expenses, etc., which should take it to at least 300-350k a month (around 40-45 LPA net expenses).
If you want to save on top of this for retirement, you would need to make at least 75 lakhs to 1 cr a year (pre-taxes) between you and your partner.
Go for DU 5 years. Idk about rankings and stuff, but the locational advantage and low fees in itself trumps over the more expensive law schools.
If you plan on joining corporate law firms, you can cover what you're "lacking" (allegedly) through internships during your 5 year course.
And if you plan on joining litigation, it's one of the best. Having no educational loan helps in initial years of litigation. Plus you get a flavour of all courts and forums, from District Courts to HC to SC to tribunals like NCLT, NGT, ITAT, etc.
Fox has some M&A mandates. Argus has 1 retainer client and is more inclined towards restructuring and banking documentation. Ashlar is a project finance shop. SAM is not preferred in the circuit. KCO is market leader for banking and private M&A work. Citadel is a joke.
Hi. Wanted to understand has anyone received second round interview from Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan from 2024 batch recently? If yes when did the HR contact you? Would be really helpful.
Don't get caught in this self esteem issue loop. Questioning your competence this much will also fuck up your performance. Instead of blaming it on your competence, try to think if your general approach to studies and co curriculars is wrong. 2nd year it too early to torment yourself like this. While you cannot just sit on it, it's better that you start analysing and creating new strategies. You cannot expect to grow at the same pace as everyone. That's irrespective of your ranking in CLAT. Just be better than who you were yesterday and it'll compound before you even realise it. Good luck!
Follow-up question to this: Are there any security check done by police or the Ministry of Home Affairs for law clerks? I heard some SC judges have Y/Z/Z+ Security
I am a civil judge from the south and CS qualified lawyer with an LLM from Kings college. I am planning to leave my post as a judge as itβs very hectic and toxic and I am planning to move to Delhi to pursue white collar crime (any decent firm). Despite 2 years of experience as a judge, I also have 2 years of experience practising insolvency, tax, corporate law at a CS firm and under a senior advocate. I was hoping with my unique blend of experiences, I could be an asset for white collar crime litigation for any decent firm in Delhi. However, I would like to know if this plan seems feasible enough to be pursued. Any thoughts are appreciated
You've already cleared the bar exam, right? You don't need to appear for it again. Just go to the office of your state bar council and ask for your certificate.
PS: While the COP is issued by BCI, it is handed over by State Bar Councils.
I cleared AIBE in 2019. Couldnβt collect Certificate of Practice from BCI in 2020 due to Covid (it is to be collected within two years). I left my practice in 2021 due to personal reasons. I am starting again now. Do I need to give AIBE again or is there some way to collect my certificate of practice from BCI as I had cleared AIBE in 2019. Please help as I am not able to find anything on the web.
Update: A hearing took place, as scheduled, on 24 April 2024. Liang was represented by NLSIU alum and Senior Advocate Jawahar Raja, AUD through Manika Tripathy and the survivor through NUJS alum Goutham Shivshankar. The judge (Justice Subramaniam Prasad) gave 3 weeks to AUD to file a reply and asked for rejoinders to the reply to be filed before the next hearing. The just listed 24 July as the next date of hearing.
Current status: 6 years, 14 hearings, still no hearing on substantive arguments by counsels. But at least some progress, so a decision by 2030 is possible, perhaps even earlier. Interesting that the survivor is not giving up but continuing to fight.
Idt other than leftist NLU students anyone even browses this website. I really wish we could create a supportive community like how coder have done on reddit, check r/developersindia
2 phases over. Weak turnout in many constituencies because of the heat. MSM reports say BJP worried, because its voters are not showing up while turnout among communities opposed to it (Muslims, Jats, Yadav etc) has been high.
Modi promised 400, but they the BJP/NDA will probably end up with 200-250 and so will INDIA. This means freelance parties not in any alliance, like YSRCP, TMC and BJD, will be key. Possibly Naveen Patnaik or Mamata Banerjee will be offered the PM post by INDIA in exchange for support. Thatβs my prediction.

you are one of the powerful and richest family in India and claiming to have no estate?
Left in LI will not accept it but will justify it somehow

See jindal in comparison, one small gym for the entire campus

- 2 BHK apartment in a gated community in a good locality
- Merc/BMW/Audi or at least a Honda City
- Maid and driver
- Two foreign holidays a year
- 3 to 4 high-end restaurant meals a month
What all concepts come under ranking of claims under companies act 2013?

Confused whether I should register for DU CLC 5 year program or not
Please give some pros and cons of both decisions and also your advice on which to choose!
P.S I really don't care if this becomes an NLU vs DU debate in the comments (like other posts).
Just give me some good rational responses :)
Cheers!
Thank me later.
Regards - the truth.
Also, what verification documents do they require?
