JSW Steel has raised Rs 2,000 crore from Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) through a bond offering. The company has raised fresh funds from 10-year bonds, at a yield of 8.79 percent payable quarterly, a source told Moneycontrol.

The debentures were secured by a charge over specific fixed assets up to 5 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) integrated steel plant at Dolvi Works located in the State of Maharashtra.
