Khaitan, AZB, Squires, Simmons help Indian Railways on $11.4m IPO track

Indian Railway Finance Corp, the market borrowing arm of the Indian Railways, has filed a draft prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to float an initial public offering. — VCCircle

Khaitan & Co advised Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited, via the Government of India‘s Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, led by a team of executive director Sudhir Bassi, partner Madhur Kohli, counsel Vaibhav Mittal and associate Devarshi Mukhopadhyay with assistance from associate Sai Saket Rachakonda.

AZB & Partners acted as Indian legal counsel to the lead managers on the issue, HSBC, IDFC, SBICAPS and ICICI Securities, led by partners Madhurima Mukherjee and Agnik Bhattacharya, Niruphama Ramakrishnan (senior associate), and associates Shivali Singh and Aratrika Chowdhury.

Squire Patton Boggs Singapore LLP acted as international legal counsel to Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited and the President of India, with partner Biswajit Chatterjee, senior associate Kaustubh George; and associate Nabil Shadab.

Simmons and Simmons acted as international legal counsel to the lead managers, led by partner David Neuville.
