An NLSIU Bangalore team of first and second years defeated NLIU Bhopal in the final rounds of the Rizvi International Moot.

MPL 3 Quicklinks:
The NLSIU team consisted of Rajini Murugeshan, Pranav Bidare and Rahul Mendiratta. Murugeshan said that all of them were first time mooters in the first and second year of law school.
“The preliminary rounds were extremely intense and competitive while compared to the semis and the finals. We knew we could win the semis and the finals, but in the preliminary rounds, we faced really good teams. The Counsel General of South Africa judged the final rounds and asked really good questions which made us think on our feet.”
Murugeshan made it a point to acknowledge the seniors at NLSIU for the win. “We were a young team and we put in a lot of hard work. But, if not for my seniors like Archana, Raag Yadav, Dheer Bhatnagar, Aditya Vikram Singh and others, we would not have won the moot. We had a lot of practice sessions throughout the night under their guidance.”
Asked whether NLSIU’s stellar performance up till now will settle its first MPL victory this season, he said: “We can’t say what happens at the end of the season. But, we’re certainly positive. Regardless of whether we lead the MPL Standings at the end of the season or not, we will always try to outdo our earlier performance in each moot.”
24 teams participated in the moot. The moot was the first edition of the international moot court competition being conducted by Rizvi Law College, Mumbai.
NLSIU now has 172 points at the top of the MPL 3, ahead of NLU Jodhpur with 90 and NLU Delhi with 76.

try not to comment under your college's name, i'd like to think that not everyone at NLUD is as graceless as you are.
Oh but they are =D
I apologize on behalf of the person who made comment 2.1.
Good day :)
Only 3 teams from India have made it to final top 20 .. NLS,NUJS and RGNUL.
The competition was tough this yr, many teams frm india including NLU D, HNLU, NLU J, GNLU had sent their memo but cudn't make it..
this deserves a mention ...
and @ 7 only 8 teams participated in air law moot....
Rizvi moot was rigged. After the competition, score sheets were given and teams found out that in the prelims they had actually won against the other team.
A game is good to watch only when there is fair play. So are the moots.
Very disappointing.
