Hi, do u have any idea about the quality of work that is given to interns in places like F&M and Citadel Law Chambers? I am thinking of applying for an internship
F&M as in which one? The new or the old? The newer one has more corporate work in Kol than the OG.

Citadel does commercial and corporate litigation mostly. The firm is run by ex-Argus founding partner, right? You can get a lot of gen corp work there but again the firm has been touted to be a difficult place to work at.
Which is the new one?

Debanjan Mandal's firm (F&M) or Shuva Mandal's and Shourya Mandal's firm (FM&A) ??
Fox has some M&A mandates. Argus has 1 retainer client and is more inclined towards restructuring and banking documentation. Ashlar is a project finance shop. SAM is not preferred in the circuit. KCO is market leader for banking and private M&A work. Citadel is a joke.

Thank me later.

Regards - the truth.
This is a reasonably accurate depiction. But for anyone interested in calcutta transactions, they should really be tracking what the national firms with no calcutta offices are doing, as interesting mandates are typically not handled by local partners but partners in Mumbai or Delhi.

To anyone who is interested: Try to find out more on those lines if you're interested in a calcutta based career.
