UBI on the other hand, by literal definition, does not discriminate between citizens rich or poor. It's not an election gimmick and is given in advanced nations based on a systematic assessment of the state's financial ability. Why don't you read up on some basic micro and macro-economics if you want to have opinions on this? It's not that hard to understand.
And for the record, since the Mod loves to attach political and ideological labels on everyone, I'm neither right nor left-wing. But Modi is definitely correct on this even though it's hypocritical to some degree since BJP is not much better.
