Not even academia unless you have a really thick skin. People will call you at all hours. You have committee, preparation and research work on top of teaching and students expect client-level attention for your pittance of a salary.
Most of them have a great relationship with their right hand.
It's bad, always has been. The only option you have for a good WLB is academia or in-house. Firms and litigation will both drain you. And it's the same in other corp finance and consultancy jobs too, in case you consider leaving law as a whole. Pick your apples.
