Well as a Justice of Karnataka High Court and formerly Delhi High Court said that there is no work life balance in the legal profession.

There's only work and that is life.
It's bad, always has been. The only option you have for a good WLB is academia or in-house. Firms and litigation will both drain you. And it's the same in other corp finance and consultancy jobs too, in case you consider leaving law as a whole. Pick your apples.
Not even academia unless you have a really thick skin. People will call you at all hours. You have committee, preparation and research work on top of teaching and students expect client-level attention for your pittance of a salary.
Most of them have a great relationship with their right hand.
Bump please let me know if this is the case for all firms or only a few ones
