I’m a 3rd year law student trying to line up internships. Most of my past ones were basic research (with no real reviews on the research), clerical work, and I barely got to try drafting or anything hands-on.
Would love to know — where did you intern that actually felt worth it in terms of learning and real exposure? Firms, chambers, orgs — open to all.
I get that interns need to be proactive to get work, but I’m trying to figure out which places are known to give interns something meaningful to do. Drop your recommendations please!
I possibly face the same bias that other JGLS students face: "Dumb, rich Jindal kid. Why give him work? Why is he here? Let him go to his summer house in Switzerland and chill there." ☹️
P.S. My family actually does own a summer house abroad, but in the UK and not Switzerland. 😑
