That sucks cuz in banking and cap m, clients clear invoices in one go, so it's not regular
yes, it only accrues on months for everyone when the matter is paid not when it is billed
How does bill share operate for fixed fee matters like cap marks?? Does it only accrue on months where the bill is cleared?
Facts β€” an SA2 in a disputes team at JSA made 60+ lakhs in FY 24-25. 30L of that was fixed retainer, 15L was year end bonus and rest was bill share
AM gets a lot of hourly USD matters from a high billing corp EP so the bill share would be pretty good
Yes-- this is true only if your team is lead by Raja ram along with Harish chandra and Shravan Kumar
Anybody have an idea on what bill share figures look like for B&F (AM)?
Max bonus for RPs over 4 years is 30+25 Lakhs. Under 4 years as an RP it’s 30 (assuming you cross 3.5x).

So you could look at 7*12 =84 + 12% of 5cr = 60, + 55 total of 1.99 cr as a senior RP in a high billing team.
Also false, PA 1/2 make way more than 20 lakhs in bonus, there is no "cap"

Bill share for PA 1/2 also comes out at 12-15 lakhs
Bonus for various levels:

A0-2.5L

A1- 3.5L

A2- 4L

A3- 5L

Idk about you but seems pretty market standard to me
Isn’t ATU a team of about 30 people? How is only 20 crore enough for them??
The maximum bonus at jSA at all levels is 20

Lakhs so even if you get 100 percent bonus as a salaried partner it’s only 20 lakhs so imagine the bonus for an associate.
But there is a papaji for ATU where all clients are originated by him so not much difference than a Lala firm!
As a whole you are still making 2/3 lakhs above market, it's basic maths. Don't be jealous bro. Plus bonus is 100% as long as you do 3x. It's simple maths, it's not a lala firm where papaji keeps 50% for the family
Two senior partners handling clients all originated by the consultant ;)
8 lakhs bill share ? For which people are asked to forgo a decent salary and a decent bonus. If you look at it as a whole it’s not worth it bro.
I crore on an average still means a bill share of 8 lakhs
How big is this team? If there are so many partners- equity and salaried then there will be atleast 20 associates I am guessing. If that’s the case, is each person billing only 1 crore on an average? Hence less bill share.
AZB is not paying A1s even 20. You need to update your figures. We will be lucky if it overall comes out 19.5 this year

Three senior partners and 4-5 RPs collectively making 20 crore. Very impressive indeed ;)
Don't you you can "claim" anything, it's simple you get 8% of your realised hours.
Hi is there any limit for the amount an Associate can claim under bill share, what if say an Associate brings in a client for a matter worth $100 million and it's closed successfully
2023 pay bands

AZB - 15.5 L

SAM - 16 L

CAM - 16 L

KCO - 15.8 L

stop embarrassing yourself, you've been exposed 😘

Or you think 2023 was a decade ago hmm
Seems like you have no idea about the equity bands, even the smaller bnf teams are reaching 8-10 cr range, ATU is at 20 cr. Clearly you've never seen the quality and volume of work
Incorrect facts for bnf where large teams are also somehow reaching 5 crore. What drugs you are on sis.
I've had 1.5/2 lakhs a month as an A1/A2 right after March few times. So 3.5 lakhs does not seem that high of a payout for those months when the clients clear invoices in bulk
15.7 was never market standard for a decade now...
hahaha could you hint at which team you are at? seems like a high payout for a A2 lol
Who is comparing here, it was for high billing teams. Even a 15 member team doing 15 crore can be high billing, as a 30 member team doing 35 crore ;)

Don't take it in your ego aw
PRC has a solid team, I've heard numbers of 5-6 lakhs from a classmate who was an A1 in his team. Might want to look into the work culture though
it should be good considering that he is the corporate co-chair
How is the TMT/Corp team of PRC? He also does good billing, I have heard
What a joke to compare BNF bill share with corp and competition teams bill share. What are you smoking? Or are you talking about the good old times when matters were sourced or led by Dina or Aashit?
Probably because Aashit has left now and can't keep a track of all this theft going on behind his back. Hope he returns soon
Not much bill share anymore in ATU BNF Mumbai, associate hours are cut randomly and arbitrarily to accommodate all of their low paying clients and RP/ EP hours are inflated to justify their existence!! If you don’t believe me speak to any associate from this team.
That's exactly what i will also do next time, what a boss move
hahaha fond memories. In the post pandemic period I had a billshare payout of 3.5 lakhs one month as an A2. I had no idea what to do with that kind of money and immediately brought a PS5 and called in sick for 2 days.
How is ep's GM team (Blore) for bill share and billing?
A 11-word comment posted 1 year ago was not published.
True, it's easier to keep track of it in small teams where the EP approves the final grid. Also I think i know who this partner is lol
Cap marks has pool bill share so i think that would come out pretty decent too. Would get a better idea reaching out to some college alumni on LinkedIn tbh
Yes EP has that discretion and they do it a lot of times, especially for T1 joinees
Hi do you know if the EP has discretion to confirm you earlier that your probation period?
Based on this, how is the billing in the cap markets team ?
Which teams in JSA Gurgaon can get you such good bill sharing? Also how to convert internship to placement there?
Please name said good teams where high billing can be expected ? I am assuming competition ofc with Nisha, B&f, what else ?
Generally it kicks in with 6 months. You can even negotiate for 0 months/1 month/2 month depending on what you are bringing to the table. The only condition is you must be A1 and above
When does bill sharing kick in for laterals with 6 months to 1 year PQE?
It's 8-10%, where did you get the 6% figure from
Insights on the current pay bands and when bill sharing kicks in pls
Ex-JSA, currently at SCAM. Compensation with bill share is much higher than any other tier 1 if you're at the right team.
The salaried partner (RP) would be under the equity partner (EP) or would be an independent retained partner (IRP) under an EP. So everything ultimately depends on the EP
Also is JSA's pay equivalent to other T1 associates if you are under a good partner? Is it worth it in the long run?
