Yes, she was involved with human rights centres at ▮▮▮ as an ▮▮▮, but literally every student does that and it helps during LLM applications (▮▮▮ in her case). Lots of RW people themselves intern with human rights and legal aid centres!

One of the contributors has the audacity to label the speech of someone they do not agree with as an “attack”, another begs the moderator to censor the same contributor because they mentioned a name. Meanwhile, no one bothers to admit the fact that whatever information about a person has been revealed was already in public and provided by the alleged victim themselves on online forums.

Definitions: "confrontations that are less than pleasant" are hearing views that shock, offend, horrify or even disgust you. They do not involve encouraging of harassment or violating the rights of other people. Your understanding of these concepts is extraordinarily polarised, I beg to ask why you are so radicalised on these matters.
You confuse us and you confuse yourself when you deny the significance of a right (freedom of speech) by equating its value with a how person ought to behave. It is in the nature of rights that they are not “earned” on account of a human’s actions but are “inherent” from the moment the human comes into being. In this respect, your reasoning is no different from denying the poor their political franchise because you don’t consider their education and morality as synonymous (and thus acceptable) with your own. In other words, your righteousness and the resulting indignation here is more an expression of your ego than logic. Consequently, it is no good giving examples in other societies where freedom of speech has been violated for that is precisely why I wrote what I wrote in the first place.

You may think that your noble intentions in suppressing the rights of others are a valid justification for doing so but I assure you, dear fellow, that those who claim no such nobility will have no trouble in using your reasons against your own rights and of others.
For far too long in this country, under the guise of “decency” and “harmony” and “order”, the rights of the citizen have been forgotten, condemned, and distorted, simply as an assertion of brute power. India is a feudal society with an IT sector. Understanding blood kinship reveals a great deal more about policy-making than a bunch of official documents. As such, any private person’s relationship with a high-ranking public official make them a legitimate subject of inquiry and discussion.
2. Do you really believe that in all circumstances? Does she really deserve to be shamed, trolled, bullied etc, for what her father does? Has she expressed approval for it? Or disapproval? As far as I can make out, she has tried to remove herself from this discussion entirely. If she had expressed some sort of view very publicly, or went about flinging it in peoples' faces (in India and/or England) that she is the daughter of so and so, then, I agree, there might be some questions to be considered.
