Don't get it. If you've already gotten one, pls give it away
Yes, Cars. Mine too gets upset when I am not around for a few days. And if it's heating outside, she just straight up gonna be leaking man, like openly in my porch. Kinda tough being Car parent these days.
Hopefully someone like Dwight isn't your partner then lol

I have a parrot who knows how to speak β€œBillable”,
do NOT get pets as a T1 associate please. It will be hell for the pet, borderline abuse too. We know you will suffer, but she will face far more pain. Maybe get a plant/ goldfish, not EMS animals like a car, imagine how she would feel all day around alone hungry.
Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts below. More ideas would also be helpful :)
You cannot leave the pet cat alone in your apartment in Mumbai. Cats also get depression and anxiety and will feel abandoned. Might run away too. Fosters are not reliable. Speaking out of experience. Leave it with your parents or family in your home town.
I don’t think I can give tips but just wanted to commend you on getting the pet. I have always thought about getting one here, living alone, but I always chicken out in the end thinking about how much a responsibility that is. Kudos to you!
Cats are usually fuss free, but fix a cheap cam to see what your cat does through the day when you are not around. Cats do feel lonely, consider getting another cat for company. Please have them fixed. Keep your cat occupied with some toys, enough food, water etc.
I’ll be joining a firm in Mumbai next year. I recently got a pet cat and I’m worried how I’ll manage her as I’ll be at work all day and night :(

Please share any useful tips/experiences.
