Another peak ignorance comment at the height of stupidity. It was exactly the students that built the NLUD brand, even if the funding did help, as it should. Why would anyone pour funding for a sub-part law school like DU, far better to do it for NLUD.
The OP has not said a single word about finances or not being able to afford NLUD, why are you guys pressed
lol. This is such fanboy comment. Get a grip on yourself. It is NLU Delhi and not IIT Delhi. Do not pretend that the competition is anywhere in the range of an IIT.
Who are you to decide who needs hostels or not, and that too on what basis?
Also, the fees they charge is ridiculous and completely untethered to what other universities ask for their PhD programs. Their fees is over 100,000 INR per year.
Get real, please. It was not the students who built the so-called brand. It was the reliable and consistent funding that went to NLU Delhi at the expense of DU FoL.
Alas, the DU of the past is not the DU of the present.
Correct me if I am wrong but NLU Delhi also has a hostel crisis, no?
have had great non hindu friends there (saying as a hindu though) never once i think anyone was made to feel otherwise due to their religion
nobody from CLC today would choose CLC>NLUD. in 2024, CLC has nothing left in front of the NLUs.
PhD folks don't need hostels. Find your own place in Dwarka. It's the undergrads that actually built the university brand.
DU was also formed more than a 100 years ago. And even CLC folks clearly acknowledge that NLUD is far superior today. No one is impressed when you say you study at DU since everyone can get in there. NLUD, on the other hand, is exponentially harder to crack.
It's surprising that a PhD scholar has no understanding of the distinction between an undergrad and a PhD program.
Can you share the placement details of DU CLC? If there are any available.
This comment is a deliberate attempt to misguide. There's absolutely no comparison between the two places. If you can't clear AILET and CLAT then only join CLC or LC at DU.
Focus on AILET first, you don't JOIN NLU D, you GET IN by being a national topper, let's have that first.
Avoid NLUD. Left their PhD program cause they couldn't provide hostels nor research facilities for us. Moreover half the batch was ex-NLUD. Talk about academic in breeding.
For someone who can't afford NLUs, DUs are a much better choice and will definitely help with all year round internships. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon like you, stop being an elitist out of touch scum bag.
How many advocates , seniors and judges are from NLUD? Stop overhying these state run money making institutions that only producing corporate clerks.
DU has hundreds of illustrious alumni, compared to zero from NLUD.

Yes, though not on religious grounds but that is everywhere.

Discrimination is inherent in human nature and it will never go away - forms will change.
Not really. NLUs are generally elite bubbles cut off from rest of the society, located at an end of the city. As far as NLUD is concerned, you may be discriminated subtly if you don't party or indulge, but generally, not that much discrimination.
Guys i want to join NLU DELHI for ba llb, but i just am skeptical about the discrimation or something, like do non-hindu people face any kind of discrimination or anything?please help me with this
