For students: Partners rarely miss emails. Once you join a law firm set up, you will also rarely miss one. Therefore, if a partner has not responded to you, it's not because s/he missed your email, but because s/he is not interested. So, send an email once, and then stop. If you are really not satisfied with that - may be do up to two follow ups, with at least 10 days between each follow up. Anything else will likely only annoy the partner.
Another thing, please stop parallelly reaching out to multiple partners or senior resources. I have seen tons of kids do this. If you send me a CV, and when I forward that to the HR, they inform me that the HR already got this forwarded by another partner / resource, this looks bad on me. Frankly, this is the main reason I have stopped responding to emails from kids. I used to forward emails to HR previously to give kids a chance, but I don't want to do charity if that makes me look bad.
If you really want partners to help you, build a connection with them through previous internships / interactions / LinkedIn. However, while trying to build a relationship, do not have the veiled agenda of securing an internship. Such masquerading is easily visible and is disgusting.
In the last year, I have only helped kids who reached out to me genuinely for general career guidance.
