I too am sailing in boat bro. Joined a T1 in Delhi and have similar background as yours, except my education loan EMIs are 20K. You can't save much, it's more like with you his salary you can survive easily but can't have fancies in life.
My point is that 'helpfulness' ought to be showcased through substance, rather than condescendingly name-calling a clearly anxious person's budgeting 'flawed' and 'unreasonable' in the same breath as giving unreasonably assumptuous advice.
I think this isn't true. I also pay a 20k emi and still.manage to save/ invest 50-60k every month, indulge in fancies, go for international trips, but my loved ones expensive gifts!
IKR, and people are complaining with a salary of 1 Lac+. Thing is, we should not increase our lifestyle with our salary so early on. Health does NOT have to be so expensive and you can live cheaply for a couple years in the beginning
You can cut down on the rent by half if you are willing to share a room.
You can definitely live in 30k pm instead of 45,8k on auto cab fares and you're wondering why you're going broke?
Don't live in South Bombay then, travel a little dude. You can't have the cake and eat it too
Was in the same boat 12 years ago. Salary will go up. Ask around/ see some threads.
That's the only comment so far that is actually helpful. @OP, things get significantly better because basic expenses can't keep pace with your increments.
Get a roomate. 38k for rent and furniture is per month is wild. Also 8k on cabs?, I mean sure if you want a lifestyle like this go ahead but then you have no right to crib about savings
bruh an average eng colledge is not 40x harder than CLAT. You might just be terrible at the sciences
But I can see why someone who doesn't know how to spell college would find CLAT and AILET as hard as engg
that's cause your poor ass cannot fathom so much money so you spend it unchecked without realising you need to be saving from day 1 and it wont cause you any issue to forgo a little money to save for a rainy day. Entitlement and abject aloofness
Disagree with the gym part you can go to a desi gym and still get a banger of a workout at 1/5th of that price but rest is good advice.
OP here. Bhai, padh toh le poora, the 10k is inclusive of buying formal clothing. You can't get a blazer + pants + shirts in less than 6-7k anywhere. I'm taking about 3k for gymming, which is as reasonable as it gets.
No one here is mentioning the root cause β€”- exorbitant taxes levied on the middle class by successive Indian governments, to pay for corrupt politician and bureaucrats, plus sponsor all sorts of freebies. Meanwhile, rich farmers don’t pay any tax!
The problem is that you guys are fixated on working in Delhi and Mumbai, which is pinching your wallet. Why don’t you consider moving to a tier 2 city? These days there is nothing that you will get in Delhi that you won’t get in a tier 2 city.
