Now I have shifted to the campus, things seem finally to be at place and I'm at peace too but my 20 year old ass is making me feel like an old sloth. The majority here has cracked CLAT in one single go and is barely 17-18. I feel like an outcast already. People have been nice to me in general but it was already in my head and recently a girl said she's in shock that someone who's 20 is in first year.
Basically I'm insecure about my age and am seeking some kind of validation that it's okay.

“There is absolutely nothing weird or abnormal about it, take it from me. I dropped twice to get into NALSAR. In the first year, got lower NLUs even after a lot of preparation, so the natural course for me would have been to get into a private college but was determined to get into the top law schools, come the second year, I got into NALSAR. And I was 20 when I attempted CLAT second time and I seriously think that I made a sound decision. No one here gives a shit about your age or where you were before or how many attempts it took you to get into the institute, besides why is it odd to graduate at the age of 25? By and large people graduate when they are 23 or 24, what's bizarre about taking a year or two year! You are getting a bigger platform( a great brand value), better opportunities, better infrastructure, best placements among many other things, I see no reason to be ambivalent about it just because you would be "2 years behind your high school contemporaries." In addition to all of this, you are more well read or say more acclimatized to the curriculum than your peers are, giving you a rather good head start.”

op, as a nalsar senior I can pretty much say its never an issue as such infact its only a plus point. if your age is hopefully a sign of maturity, then you will be glad not to be 18 in your first year,trust me. Anyways, best of luck, mate, and always feel free to approach seniors or anyone who you are comfortable with instead of anonymous forums. Lastly don't regret something like your age in first year its extremely common for 20 to be the right age in 1st year while only recently it has fallen lower imo.
Had amazing 5 years. Still miss those days.
