The point is not about the regulations or change therein. The point is that a PhD is not essential to teach well at an undergrad level. That has been proven in the past.
PS: Quick thing regarding the SJD recruitment point I earlier made. In case it wasn't clear, most SJD graduates aren't recruited by American law schools, not all - I have seen some Harvard ones recruited.
Couple of corrections:

1. Professor's eligibility is PhD and 10 years of teaching, not 15.

2. There are many private universities in the country who pay even to their Assistant Professors far less than the UGC prescribed minimum scale.
BCI does not regulate LLM programmes in the country at all, UGC does that.
Then why BCI creates unwanted issues between 1 Year LLM and 2 Year LLM? They are acting Ultra-Vires!
That's because BCI and the incompetent people who are in charge want to grab control of both UG and PG legal education. They have been trying that for years.
1 year is not enough for an LLM, simple as. BCI should have abolished the 1 year program when it had the chance.
Most of the posts you mentioned in 5 are not there in most NLUs either. As for faculty, I personally know three people who are teaching at IIULER and are as approachable as anyone else. Not that I mean to say that IIULER is a great place to study, it is not.
Are you claiming that private universities have a greater obligation compared to public ones? Please spend less time here and more on learning law in case you are.
NLUs are also not "national" universities. Since they are all state universities, they should not be allowed to use the word "national" in their names. State NLUs are also deceiving subtly.
As you yourself showed, there is no 'national' university as any of the categories.
What I meant was that there is no definition or qualification necessary for a university to call itself national or international as per law. So the NLUs or IIULER aren't doing anything illegal.
What a joke..IIULER offers one year LLM...all NLUs offer one year LLM...all private unis like jindal, symbiosis, upes etc offer one year LLM but IIULER wants 2 year LLM for teaching positions. Those with LLM from NLS Bangalore can't apply?
