Note that NLS and NALSAR (or any other state NLU) did not make the cut to this elite group tasked with drafting India's FSRA and National Forensics Mission.
That's because they are law schools. Not forensic science labs. Moreover, it is already established that this government does not have the brains to know what's good for education.
STEM and Humanities are not mutually exclusive. IITs cover both domains. It is the interplay between the two that creates better outcomes. NLUs, besides being state universities, by focussing on humanities alone are at a distinct disadvantage.
Bottom line: NFSU still isn't relevant for legal education in this country.
Not blaming the floor. Merely the people who have been systematically destroying higher education in the country for over a decade now.
Yet it's a state NLU VC's speech that's being quoted here, not NFSU director's. Ironical, isn't it?
If you did not notice, the link is to a state NLU announcement (not an NFSU announcement). It is NLUD (VC, no less) that is "bragging" about being invited by NFSU. Do you see the irony now?
If NFSU and the NLUs are tying up in any manner, then that's an admission on the NLU's part that they don't know forensics and NFSU's part that they don't know law.
On the contrary, the primary reason is what I mentioned already. The remit of NLUs does extend beyond the boundaries of their respective states. NFSU has no such limitations/constraints with much better funding, support, and access to resources (that all NLUs are aware of).
Nice. With the three criminal laws taking effect from July 1st, the importance of forensic sciences in criminal justice cannot be overstated.
It is Amit Shah's baby, so unlike other institutes, it doesn't have to show any achievements to get funding. Nor anything to actually do with such funding. Such fun!
Isn't it better to be someone "baby" rather than be orphaned like the state NLUs? We can all smell the "j" factor.....:-). NFSU koh halke main mat lo. Abhi toh yeh sirf shuruat hai.
All that money just for it to end up being eaten by a certain someone in the university xD
JFYI. The CAG audits NFSU. The latest audit results and the entire financial report are available on the university website. The frustration and jealousy are so obvious.

Note: Thanks to the admin for marking it "trollish".
