I am so glad my college has none of this bs. Politically liberal envo with people who don't do mean girls type of shit and a decent ranking
This is to buy a seat in NLU by paying 10-12 lakh per year.

Better take LSAT and join Jindal? At least you won't be discriminated against by anyone. You can get scholarship and reduce your cost.

Also jindal better than most of NLUs except may top 3
IT IS illegal. Reservation is meant for the underprivileged- the constitution does not provide for reservation on any grounds for privileged people, who can literally buy their way into college. But how would you know the law, you're an NRI kid at the end of the day.
Many people don't opt for it straightaway anyways, so that's why it extends for a larger rank list.
this isn't true. the 1st NRI list was just released and it ends at around AIR 900. I don't think it will even touch 1500s
Okay this unrelated but any idea till what rank does nri sponsered or vacant seats in nri goes to in nluj and nujs ?

I believe there was an Orissa High Court against NRI quotas, but since they continue I imagine the matter is stuck in appeal or some such

Oh no, 15 Nepal/Bhutan citizens will take admission in our university, like literally every university big enough to attract international students, obviously this is a problem for merit or something idk
no to bullying

but honestly, cry me a river, dont buy the seat then
NLUs giving admission in NRIs and NRI sponsored categories is nothing but backdoor admission. This is unfair and illegal. Charging four times higher fee from such students is nothing but collecting capitation fee. Someone must file a suit against this practice.
No name calling else BO’29 ka confession page will make 4th grade jokes about your wealth πŸ™
They're not NRI seats, but for foreign nationals. AKA SAARC countries. NLS has always trained lawyers from our neighbourhood and some of their top people are NLS grads.
Well this year the incoming nri kids at Nluj are clowns
That’s why the best NLU, NLS, does not have NEI β€˜sponsored’ seats. We also did not have NRI seats for the past four years, but they are being reintroduced this year, and I condemn this idea.
It’s time we needed an honest nri sponsored experience thread. Bumping this up.
You are in because of your privilege. What's wrong to point that out?

If anything it's the NRI sponsored at GNLU acting all high and mighty against the others

Every year publicly your name gets launched in the website where the NRI lists are launched. It’s a cakewalk to find out if you are NRI or not.
I empathise with your experience, and you and the other nri candidates should now have been treated like that. But theres nothing wrong with them being happy that the quota will be scrapped, as that would be a fantastic decision. Its basically a glorified management quota
Be a good, kind and helpful person if you wish to get accepted. Whether you top the batch or not won't make a difference.

Mhmm yes buddy. As much as I wanted to believe the golden words of β€˜once you get it doesn’t matter’ - it did matter. Even after having high grades, nri candidates are ridiculed. You gotta survive hard out there.
Who expects a student to top exams because they are wealthy? Are you for real?
